Same, here's some more specific for me:

• Lurk for years without posting much (if at all).
• Host two H@H clients and never use the GP (Now have 8,969,188GP).
• Always get confused about everything related to items so I just battle and guess what drops are good.
• Want to participate more in the community but don't know where to start (FOR YEARS!).

So yeah, I'm sure there's more. I'll have to think some more...

I believe there are more people, who take big part in site itself (adopt-a-server, bounties, uploading, H@H), but do not pay any attention to game itself. Coming out, people, we need more brave fighters here, monsters aren't waiting! =P

And you are right about that, when I was first introduced to this site I used to play it quite a bit, I believe I got myself up to level 50. Then after a while, I had all the GP I needed to archive anything I wanted so I kinda stopped playing. I've been playing more now though, since I converted my character from a melee focused one, to a mage type. This was before persona's were added.

Nothing really original here but I'd say


1. Trying to get EDs from precursor artifacts to sell them to make more money instead of selling them directly. After I noticed I was failing miserably (that is, after quite some precs already), I kept track of my results:
42 precs--->15x1000 crystals, 4x last elixir, 2xED, 13x 1 attribute point, 8x 2 hath) I even got 27 non-ED shrinings in a row.
2. Using my chaos tkns to increase the abilities of my monsters instead of opening more slots with them.
3. Not reading the wiki and dying because at low spirit with spark of life on without knowing what happened.
4. Not paying attention and dying
5. Using a hover script that didn't stopped you from hitting when you reach a certain health and dying (now I have crackling cast though)

This is the most unlucky thing I ever seen! Damn. Looks like game have something against you. =(

Attempting to TRY the hardest mode available. I died within 3 turns lol...

3. Getting killed in the 99th round of a 100 round Arena Challenge

I sold all my old gear that i had for credits. I started playing late, but i registered early so now everyone is asking me if i have old collectibles since i'm an OG.

Normally, I go up against the FSM with 1h/light, but this one time I decided to face it in my mage setup thinking "pfff I'll just cast smite at it" (my main mage style is dark and I have 29 divine prof). I ended up having to flee because as it turns out, if battles take very long, monster damage output gradually increases.

Um...still around after some 5-6 years when everyone's out, I guess

Starting as a Mage char instead of one of the physical guys.

Realizing i could use hotkeys for battle instead of mouse.
The whole game became much easier on my mouse wrist.

Probably playing without scripts until level 360

I savalged my legendary shortsword,it's damn legendary ayeeee
I removed it from my set coz I was doing itemworld of that sword,after that I forgot to re-equip my sword

was tired when savalged some fodder gear..then the legendary one..GG RIP

Finally posted in the forums a few weeks ago, and I've been here since '09 hahaha

Buying a lvl 500 axe when i was at level 14 and thinking, "I probably shouldn't be buying this" and then going, "whatever, let's try it"

Not salvaging any phase armor for the phazon.

Salvaging phase armor doesn't give phazons, just (low-medium-high) level clothes, scrap cloth(es) and energy cells

1. Died on the 100th round of an IW run. I always try to use up my MP before clear the challenge just to get some extra proficiency points and I forgot that autocasting will disappear if your MP is below a certain %. Now I always cast SoL before I do that.

2. Change settings to separate Ability Set Assigments but didn't know it didn't make the main set as the default ones. I have 6 sets and I have to reassign for every single one... Found out after I fail to fight in normal difficulties despite I drank all elixirs and dumb me sitting there trying to reason out why monsters suddenly get so strong that I can't even survive.

3. Died on 120/125 round due to a monster cirt hit me which triggers spirit shield to absorb attacks and my SP happened to drop below 50% and then another monster killed me right after. I don't want to waste a spirit draught while I am near the end of the battle but it seems like I wasted even more by dying because I need to repair and also I didn't get the clear bonus.

4. Didn't know why sometimes I fail to activate the spirit stance until I reached level 200. I finally notice those dots on top of the HP bar...thought they were just counting the turns haha...

5. Didn't know there were random encounters until level 220. I saw people talking about it but I couldn't find it in the drop down menu and I try idling on the character page but it never appears. Now I really know where and when to "encounter" them.

There are way too many dumb things i have done in the past month. The more I wrote the more I want to blame myself for being an idiot.

You don't need to do that anymore to grind proficiency.
