If you're finding yourself in the french's editor's usual problem to have to find fonts that actually have all the special characters we need, I'd recommend, amongst others, ACME secret agent, Komika Text Kaps, Wurmics bravo for the regular text, I want my TTR!, Yellowjacket, Cezanne and Edo, for SFX. Those aren't necessarily the best around, but they'll have all you need, and they are free and easy to find. Otherwise, if it's not for regular text, I've found manually drawing an accent or a cedilla on a SFX isn't too much work, and can look better when the right font doesn't have the character in question.

Thanks for the suggestion. ellano (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

So, I'm in a bit of a dilemma here. There is this one french comic I'm trying to translate to english that has characters speaking arabic. And to denote that, the author chose an arabic looking font. And it's completely fucking unreadable. Example : (IMG:[ i.ibb.co] https://i.ibb.co/1K1g27C/Selection-999-050.png) (yes those are roman characters, it took me two read to actually notice it, it's french, it says "arrête de discuter maman, ce n'est pas le moment") I actually found that font, it's "Afarat ibn Blady", but I also found other much more readable arab-looking fonts, like Catharsis Bedouin or Aceh Darusalam. So I need a bit of advice, should I go for following the author's original design, or should I go for readability?

Legibility is always my number one concern, first and foremost over any other consideration. Yeah, giving as true a representation of the original is a big deal to me as well, but never over legibility.

This sentence doesn't make sense. it's just some letters sticking together like this :azesdqlfjmsflhj I know Arabic and those are arabic characters: (IMG:[ files.catbox.moe] https://files.catbox.moe/zpeps3.png) [ www.myfonts.com] https://www.myfonts.com/search/arabic/This post has been edited by baha815: Dec 20 2018, 10:25
