You can edit the fonts to have accents.

Download a font editor.
I'll use FontCreator.

Chose a font to edit.
As an example: [www.blambot.com] http://www.blambot.com/font_ashcan.shtml

Open the font to which you are going to add the accents ("tildes").
I'll use ashcanbb_reg.
(The same process needs to be applied to the Bold version of the font if it is to be used.)

Go to Insert>characters

Set these options and add these characters:
$00A1,$00BF,$00C1,$00C9,$00CD,$00D3,$00DA,$00DC,$00D1,$00E1,$00E9,$00ED,$00F3,$00FA,$00FC,$00F1
(Save this somewhere; you're going to need it.)

Now you have to copy and paste the corresponding characters: ! to ¡, ? to ¿; A to Á, E to É..., a to á... uppercase letters to uppercase letters, lowercase letters to lowercase letters...

Already in place, they only need their accents.
What I do is use some of the other elements of the font as a "tilde".

I'll start with the graphic accent on vowels.
Take "comma". Double click, select and copy.

Starting with Á.
Double click and paste.

Modify it to make it look good.

(I advise you to select this new modification that you have just made of the comma to use in the others.)
Same process with all those who need "graphic accent".

Then the "eñes" (Ññ).
I'm gonna use asciditilde as a "virgulilla".

Then the U's with "diéresis" (Üü).

Don't forget, the exclamation mark (!, ¿).
You just need to invert them...

Now just go to: Format>Settings>Metrics. Press "calculate" and OK.
This is for these new symbols to fit the size they need, otherwise "tildes" would be cut in half or not visible.

Done. Save. Install and use.
