QUOTE(Golden Sun @ Feb 11 2011, 23:41) 1 cast = 450 turns, huh? If not dark infusions, nerf?
Probably yes. No, nerf is already used, and dark rating shouldn't increase the power of deprecating spells. So my bet is flower vases. This post has been edited by cmdct: Feb 12 2011, 02:02

It's most likely Flower Vase + Bubblegum, since he said he could maintain it for 2500 turns with a 450 duration poison. At max one can carry 6 sets of the above. 450 x 6 = 2700, so close enough.

Is that confirmed via testing or something? "Kicking Ass: Your attacks and spells deal significantly more damage for a short time, will always hit, and will always land critical hits." This post has been edited by Conquest101: Feb 12 2011, 05:27

He's not using flower vase + bubblegum, just flower vase. I haven't tried this myself but reading the descriptions of the items gives me a good idea of what's happening here. It's the same reasoning why nerf improves poison damage, flower vases has the same effect but the magnitude is far greater. Again, this is just speculation on my part, don't really feel like wasting a flower vase to try this out myself right now. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Edit: I'm also pretty sure he's not filling out all his item slots with special items. It's always a good idea to leave room for error and carry mana/spirit items in case the testing fails, which I'm assuming this is his first actual trial. This is with just my Holy set on Normal: Regular damage: 6 4 Spreading Poison hits Flying Spaghetti Monster for 454 damage. Flower Vase: 14 5 Spreading Poison hits Flying Spaghetti Monster for 1772 damage. Flower Vase + Gum: 18 5 Spreading Poison hits Flying Spaghetti Monster for 3875 damage. So yeah. QUOTE(hitokiri84 @ Feb 11 2011, 19:10) Gum is just HP/MP Elixir + all crits.
This also can't be right unless Poison can land as a critical hit. Not to mention the giant damage increase my Banish gets. This post has been edited by Conquest101: Feb 12 2011, 05:42

First and final. Unless I want to prove a point. QUOTE(Conquest101 @ Feb 11 2011, 21:41) Flower Vase: 14 5 Spreading Poison hits Flying Spaghetti Monster for 1772 damage.
Flower Vase + Gum: 18 5 Spreading Poison hits Flying Spaghetti Monster for 3875 damage. If that's the case, then I could probably do it in 1000 turns. I don't have any gum right now though.

So that means you only used flower vases to get that 5k poison?

Well, it wasn't any great mystery there. I'm actually more curious how he managed this: QUOTE(hitokiri84 @ Feb 11 2011, 15:15) I was only hit about 12 times by its magic/spirit attacks and wasn't hit a single time by normal attacks.
I can see not getting hit at all (stun) or never getting hit by spirit/magical (silence), but ONLY getting hit by spirit/magical?

WOW. Poison can make crits?! I'll keep all my gums from now on.

Flower Vase + Gum: 18 5 Spreading Poison hits Flying Spaghetti Monster for 3875 damage. If they can't, what's the origin of this big extra damage? 1772 -> 3875...Or gum have some other use for poison?

9 6 Spreading Poison hits Flying Spaghetti Monster for 7703 damage. 9 5 Flying Spaghetti Monster misses the attack against you.
Yeah, this won't take long. Kinda regret going in on normal difficulty now.

It was the same for me when I did IPU and I don't have access to hitokiri84's level 300 Ghost Ninja spells or his death cookie. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif)

Might take longer than you think since Normal FSM and IWBTH FSM are worlds apart in terms of defense.

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif) Since I was right the first time, let's try again. My guess is, blind with this extra prof, they'll get 100% miss from normal attacks. The Spirit don't have 100% miss because of the crits which you can't prevent them without bewilder. Edit: Funny I noticed that it's possible to kill them with sleep+lifestream and using magic regen. Of course this will take like +100,000 turns, and considering 100% time lifestream which can't be done of course (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Edit2: Yeah it's blind (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) This post has been edited by cmdct: Feb 12 2011, 14:18

Evade isn't needed, but I had SV active(+27.4), and got 100% misses with weaken. I didn't try to check the "limit". It was against some IWBTH monsters over 100 rounds, with my 2W setup: 227.53+166.7 = 394.23 deprecating prof. This post has been edited by cmdct: Feb 12 2011, 16:25
