It's the staff, I tried now with my staff, and I got almost the double dmg vs 2W, which make me believe that magic rating, and/or mdm increase poison dmg (or it is nerf affected?), since +72 points of proficiency wouldn't make that much increase.

I'm curious as to what your Depreciating proficiency is (without gear.) Mine's only at 283, and I'm trying to decide if it's worth the time to farm it up to 300+ before doing FSM on IWBTH. I have high hopes for it since I was getting over 2000 damage per turn on Normal.

And I'm guessing you used the staff I just sold you?

Golden Sun: I just used my C-W gear that I've saved up. its nothing special.

My Stats
Depreciating proficiency: 252.12 (+281.67 items)

I spent a few days working on Depreciating and Curative profiniency. It took about 100 godly mana potions
to raise them 10 points.

My poison damage would change from cast to cast, the most I think I had was 2801/turn vs IPU-IWBTH. I was going to make the comment to cmdct but the soul or dark damage did a lot too but when you look at the damage over time, poison did over 10 million damage. The other 6 million is from soul, dark, MM, melee attacks, Lifestream.

Ya, I used that staff. I have a few with close to or more Deprecating porfiniency but they ether need to be leveled up more or they didn't have a 3t ET. The lower % of ET was a pain vs using a 50% 3t but my staffs like that don't have as much D.P. as that one. So it came down to letting the poison do more damage vs getting channeling and casting more damage spells.

I feel ripped off. The Arena Clear bonus should be a guarunteed Magnificent drop, or better.

Anyway, it's possible to kill FSM on IWBTH in about 2500 turns, if you can figure out what I did to get this:

Probably yes.
No, nerf is already used, and dark rating shouldn't increase the power of deprecating spells.
So my bet is flower vases.

It's most likely Flower Vase + Bubblegum, since he said he could maintain it for 2500 turns with a 450 duration poison. At max one can carry 6 sets of the above. 450 x 6 = 2700, so close enough.

Gum is just HP/MP Elixir + all crits.

He's not using flower vase + bubblegum, just flower vase.

I haven't tried this myself but reading the descriptions of the items gives me a good idea of what's happening here. It's the same reasoning why nerf improves poison damage, flower vases has the same effect but the magnitude is far greater. Again, this is just speculation on my part, don't really feel like wasting a flower vase to try this out myself right now. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I'm also pretty sure he's not filling out all his item slots with special items. It's always a good idea to leave room for error and carry mana/spirit items in case the testing fails, which I'm assuming this is his first actual trial.

Regular damage:

So yeah.

This also can't be right unless Poison can land as a critical hit. Not to mention the giant damage increase my Banish gets.
