I'm pretty sure that the shield/barrier ratings for the bosses/legendaries were decreased after that, so, there is no point of reference. (Creating a timeline would be decently hard)

Ok, this is IPU, and you used a normal Axe, so different shield/barrier ratings don't affect bleeding.
The only thing it could help is with mini-spirit attacks, but they occur much less often, so they can't reduce 8 items to 4-5. (Plus you I don't have Rainbow aura, and IA like you)

No, but it would effect poison which now does almost the same damage that my bleed does. You just can't compare things from two different times.

You're right, I have to try out now to see, but you're sure in this release the RoB shield/barrier ratings were decreased? I didn't noticed nothing different, and I engaged the legends before and after this release.

They were reduced some time in the past though it wasn't announced. That they are no longer physical immune is evidence of that.

That happened in 0.4.5( Jan 28 2010), I remember because I started to defeat the legends right after.
You killed IPU in March long after that.
Look 4-5 items isn't a record or something, it just means that in theory it's very easy to defeat IPU already, it even make me gain little credits with it.

Lol yes, and this staff no one wants do the same thing, ET does nothing for grinding, except when appears a boss, but still you can kill it without using ET, and continue your way. Only when you have low MP that's a issue, but that happens (at least for me now) in later rounds when they just kill you anyway.

Good ether theft staffs have some use. Namely, battletoads flimsy and the like.
My problem is that my mp isn't getting restored enough. I die when I run out of mp and items, not when I run out of hp. Do you just rely on Mantras, gems, and second winds to restore mp?

Yes, they have for RoB enemies and End of Days, for other arenas isn't really necessary, just save a few items in the last round if you want. Take my example, with 20% ET 1 turn, I could clear all arenas already. Your're don't understand the problem of Battletoads, don't you? All mobs survive, so it appears that you'll have more chance for ET, but this is just for the first rounds, then you'll see the damage of each turn isn't worthy for trying ET, they'll just eat you alive.
Besides it's normal ET don't make much difference, I can get 5 turns (X-Attack+Haste) when I hit boss+ with staff so essentially I have 100% of chance to get ET, more chance only makes me get it sooner.

Look, ET is good to have, but it's the last thing you should look for, when you choose a staff for max damage.
2nd what's the problem of having different staffs for different proposes? I have some for that. (like katalox)

Didn't I just said ET is useless? 1 monster eat your HP like hell with just one hit, even with 100% ET it's not worthy getting MP.

Of course you can't, this is a matter of leveling up. There's some mith about thinking on doing this at low levels, with enough power, and that's a mistake:
- You'll need more magic accuracy, like close to +95%.
- You'll need more proficiency
-spells become cheaper as you level up I think

I use the same gear 20 levels below and I couldn't go much farther than +250 levels just as an example.

No special equipment used. Burned a few mid-level mana pots -- I wanted a quick win, regardless of mana burn.

After grinding out +50 Deprec. proficiency over the last week and a half and doing the full set of Arenas plus the 4 Boss Rings (some for only the first time since clearing them), I am burned out and will just do the hourlies for a few days before returning to the Arenas and Item Worlds.

I don`t have this skill yet. and I don`t think it will get it so soon.
Against Bosses I don`t really need more damage. PA/poison/silence them then ignore and kill everything else. Gods are pysical immune so...
Well I think I will get it for that fun lvl 200 Arena.
