Second attempt today, third overall. Used 1 Avg, 2 Greater, and 1 Superior Mana Potion. This was a wake-up call. I now see why you guys bring such high-grade Mana items into Arenas, and will have to seriously upgrade the Inventory I bring into an Arena from now on.

Earlier was my debut to the Arena as a DW Elemental Mage. I had reset myself to include a lot of Tier 1 magic to conserve MP in early rounds and just a few HP Tanks. I ended up getting beat down in the 6th Round.

Reset again with no T1 magic and a lot more HP Tanks. That (and the +400 HP from the extra HP Tanks) made the difference, as I was down below 400 HP a few times.

I still have 4 more Arenas to clear before Endgame. That, and another Level and half to gain but, I am holding 18 AP back to fully exploit Level 100 Abilities. Hello Soul Power, Spark, Cure II, and Violet Aura II. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I just noticed that this shattered my All-Time EXP for a Round record by 600 EXP.

LMAO, I just thought I'd get a few bosses and then a Legendary and that would be it, but I got a bunch of weird shit. Never heard of these monsters before. But it was kinda fun doing all those rounds.

I killed Yggdrasil but Urd did me in because I ran out of items. Hito! Hold me!

I'm pretty sure it's just Norse Mythology since there are plenty of other references to it in the HV. It's probably just a coincidence that Ah! My Goddess is loosely based on Norse Mythology as well.

Anyway, here's my Heavy scouting report on "The Twilight."

I've been doing a lot of arenas as a mage recently, and oddly enough when playing on Normal I seem to use less mana with a staff than I do with 1H+Shield. I haven't quite worked it out yet, but it could be something to do with the fact that most minibosses don't live long enough to make it worth my while Weakening them...

Anyway, today I tried Endgame with a staff for the first time... and used more mana items than usual. That White Bunneh at the end ate up all the mana I'd saved and then some. I suppose I could just have hit him over the head a few hundred times, but I suspect it wouldn't have made much difference what with all the supportive and deprecating stuff I'd have to keep up. So it's back to the good old Rapier for Twisted Plots.

Nah, you don't *need* an ethereal weapon to damage any of the other three legendaries. Mikuru should take about the same amount of damage from your attacks as Konata did. It's Ryouko and Yuki who take 1 dmg from physical attacks, but they are fairly susceptible to Holy and Dark damage. Admittedly, a 1HS plate tank isn't going to do too well casting offensive spells, but you can substitute that for a really strong bleed axe.

It's a bug with the Infusion of Gaia. It grows you a third arm, or allows you to block with your penis, or something. It's been reported.

First Attempt. I straight DW'ed the first round to buildup Overcharge. From round two on, I just blasted away, while chugging Superior Mana pots. Barely a new record high single round EXP. Three Arenas left before Endgame.

I figured that would be the case. I once faced a Boss in an Item World as a Mage, before my 18 level grind to build up DW prof. I won but, it took nearly 200 whacks from my Staff to do it. When I switched to DW Rapier/Dagger it took half as many turns on my longest round with one. The stick is awesome for vaporizing mobs and 2-shotting the mids but, it's a cardboard tube versus Bosses.

Just finished Bunneh, Dalek and Mithra in less than 30 min. Incredible how scared I was to try them and possibly waste a lot of items and a token before but wow. That was easier than I thought,

Just cleared Longest Journey. My abilities are currently set up so as to maximise my chances of beating Real Life, which means I had to do it with only Holy and Dark offensive spells, which was... interesting. Items used: 6 Godly Mana Draughts, half a Mana Elixir and a Scroll of the Gods for the last round. I don't know if I really needed the Scroll, but it gave me some psychological support to compensate for not having all those elemental spells.

If I find it still takes as many items after I restore my "normal" ability setup I'm going to be a trifle upset...
