Mass downloading would effectively result in a ban unless you queue gallery downloads in a reasonable manner.
That is, not downloading stuff over your weekly allocation or 100+ archives a week unless you want to go GP-broke real fast, and not downloading
any more than 4 archives at a time.
If you have a decent connection and some storage space, you may also do this for pictures that are not resampled:
- Empty your cache.
- Maximize your cache size - in Firefox, you can actually go up to 4194303 kilobytes (about:config>browser.cache.disk.capacity>
4194303); do not go over this or it will overflow back to zero. It will also get overridden by the 1024MB hard cap if you go into settings.
- Directly browse galleries from page 1, make sure they load in full. Don't go too fast and try not to exceed your image limits.
Don't use automated scripts or harvesters.- Use a tool like [
www.nirsoft.net]
MZCacheView (there are equivalents for other browsers) and export the files.
- You now have ~4GB of offline content to view without having downloaded a single archive.
- Rinse and repeat (slowly, and in moderation).
Keeping track of what you've saved for offline view and what you wish to download later using favorites and notes is recommended.
