A training skill to reduce amount of time training takes, preferably low cost (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

... Again generally pointless. Not worth ability points... in my opinion, anyway lol.

Ya, when you reach a certain lvl you wont have enough credits for a second training before your last 1 is finished anyway.

training skill as in the ones you buy with credits, something to reduce the amount of hours training takes (I get fed up with ability boost taking EIGHT hours D:<)

It would be much simpler to just have training times be unilaterally cut to 10 seconds. Less time= greater credit sink.

LOL, I'd go with that. I could be spending more of my credit balance training AP if I didn't have to wait 8 hours between.

The point of the time limit is for it to be a credit sink in multiple ways. For example, while you're training, say, quartermaster, that's time you don't have that extra chance to get equipment, while if you were able to blastfuck to level 10 of it within 2 minutes you'd be getting increased drops without the wait time. Think of the time as a buffer to prevent you from getting closer to being able to farm credits easier.

Who seriously has enough credits on hand to train the drop skills high enough to see good returns?

If there are returns to be made on those skills, they over the VERY long term.

i would like to ask if it is possible to adjust the leveling curve a bit.

currently there are 3 types of players in HV. the ones that carried over a high level from the classic system, the ones that abused the broken equipment/heavy armor times and shot to a high level, and those that missed that point. i'm in that 3rd group and i find that with descent playing times my leveling is at a crawl in comparrision to those that have access to higher level spells (mostly absorb). in the time that demoneyesbob leveled from 90-124 i merely got ~7 levels. im sure that that he has some experiance bonuses from posting more frequent and upload alltime lists etc, but it should not count for 4x the leveling speed at 3x my level.

i would really appreciate some tweaks to get through the mid levels faster. the early levels are fine, just my pace around 40 seems to have come to a crawl. it seems people above 70 have a good leveling pace again.

Just to point this out a bit, hito didn't get all his levels from the time before HV, and he didn't have to use heavy armor either~ He used his credits and exp bonuses with AoE spells to get his levels before equipment was implemented, and it's still a viable strategy, though not used as often. It's not that the pace gets faster or slower so much as it just takes more time to get the experience, and the reason level 70 seems to make it go faster is cause of regen and silence, which give people a lot more survivability, and thus letting them up the difficulty for a bit, which in turn brings out even more value to those exp bonuses.

Basically, suck it up or get some good gear or a good staff and blastfuck your way through to higher levels.

Regen is like what cure used to be. You ask yourself: How the hell did I ever live without this spell?

Actually...

Bob has the gold aura, which gives him +100% exp
I'm going to assume he also has the black and white auras, another +100% exp
Rainbw aura... maybe, +77%
then exp bonuses for posts/toplists

so yes,
3x-4x ignoring better equipment and spells.

Hito was at level 55 when he got placed in HV, and then he shot up like a rocket. I was level 70 when he was level 55, then I was level 80 when he was level 100. You get the point. Gold star + auras + several toplists + lots and lots of free time = thehitorocket ;)

Yes, I have gold aura (a gift - I had the bronze aura before), all the spectral auras (obviously), and all the hath-auras (earned on my own). Do remember that the amount that those help has changed over and over as Tenb has tweaked (nerfed) the credit bonuses. I haven't been really earning toplist for a while, and I only post in the HV, and I generally keep it non-spamming; I haven't used the spamhaus thread in ages. Regen got changed 2 days before I got it, and when I did get it my curative prof was so non-existent that it was better for me to use cure. Also, since it was about equipment: I was one of those who was out of the loop for that. When equipment got activated, I had a proficiency of 7 for 2hand and that was it. And I was mid 90's or so. Oh, my curative, supportive, and deprecating profs were also like in their 30's then. I used to be an elemental user, so my elemental prof was 70 and everything else was nil - I had to bring them all up manually while getting my ass handed to me on higher arenas because regen was useless.

You really do start leveling much faster as you gain higher level for a couple of obvious reasons.

1. you can do the lower arenas on higher difficulty, earning more exp.
2. you can do the middle arenas on higher difficulty, earning more exp.
3. you can DO the higher arenas, earning A LOT more exp.
4. you can grind on normal (I'm not quite there yet), earning a lot of exp and kickass item returns (see ponkan for details).

I've found I can usually level once per day if I do the lower arenas on as high a passable-difficulty as possible and complete up to longest journey.

Edit: Be happy you have cure. I had to wait forever for that spell, and now you get it at level 40. Oh, and regen was changed to level 70 two days before I would've got it at level 90. My trip to Ascended was not fast nor smooth.

Resist rates in boss monsters should be lowered.

12 2 Silence procs the effect Silenced on Mind Raper.
12 1 You cast Silence.
11 3 Mind Raper resists your spell.
11 2 You cast Silence.
10 4 Mind Raper resists your spell.
10 3 You cast Silence.
9 3 Mind Raper resists your spell.
9 2 You cast Silence.
8 3 Mind Raper resists your spell.
8 2 You cast Silence.
7 3 Mind Raper resists your spell.
7 2 You cast Silence.
6 3 Mind Raper resists your spell.
6 2 You cast Silence.
5 3 Mind Raper resists your spell.
5 2 You cast Silence.
1 3 Manthra resists your spell.
1 2 You cast Weaken.

This crap has been happening constantly. Once or twice is perfectly acceptable but that is just BS

Maybe add in that each time an enemy resists a spell, it is less likely to resist subsequent spells.

Id agree with that. My INT and WIS are lower than the rest of my stats but not by a great deal. Prof is over 100.

Like I said before in no way am I complaining about the ability to miss itself, simply the chance it goes by. Id rather the sodding thing fail, that way at least I wouldnt be pissing away MP (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Agreed. That happens to me a lot, and my magic accuracy (I'm pretty prof doesn't matter for the 'does it work?' chance) is 109%.
