I dunno if maybe because only two of us can use it, but has the Nerf spell actually been tweaked to have a noticeable effect? I took it instead of weaken since it does a lot more, but it seems to really have a minimal effect if none at all.
Hours later edit: Yea, Nerf is worthless. I got to Mithra and where I normally hit it with Silence and Weaken and then slowly knock away at it while maintaining my health with Regen, I find that I just got overwhelmed with Nerf cast. It wasn't doing anything to protect me from damage and I wasn't seeing any kind of improvement at all.

Some idea that popped in my head while taking a shower.
"Final strike. 20x weapon damage to all targets, Attempts to proc breached defense on mobs 2 handed weapons only, 130% overcharge, incudes spirit as base damage, destroys weapon afterwards"
"Thousand blades. 15x weapon damage to all targets, dual wielding only. causes slow, poison, weaken. 130% overcharge, includes spirit as base damage. destroys weapon afterwards"
"Last stand. Casts shield, barrier, regen, haste, shadow veil, life spark. Requires a shield, destroys it afterwards, 130% overcharge"
"Thanatos Whisper. Requires a rod / wand. Increases all elemental proficiencies by 10 for 10 turns, heals an amount of life and mana equal to your spirit, gives you the kick ass buff for 2 turns, casts barrier and silences all mobs, destroys wand afterwards. Needs 130% overcharge."
Probably definitely not like that but i hope the thin line is visible.

i have an ethereal weapon....i'd personally never use any skill that will destroy any of my equipment tho it would be nice if there were some skills that were available after having a certain amount of overcharge maybe making those skills have a prerequisite of 10/20/30 points in overcharge boost would work maybe a self buff that lasts longer than the current self buffs (maybe the duration of a challenge/run?) that is more powerful than the old buffs, while still having a lowish mp cost (after all, we would have tons of points thrown into the boosts just to get them) (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Well yeah, like that.
The general idea just being an AOE spirit attack of sorts. That and basically something really imba to do with your equips that don't even validate selling :3

Not sure if any one suggested this yet but i think the ability to limit how much spirit points in %(25,50,75,100) u want to spend on the monster would be great. For those that don't want this may have the percentage selection turned to OFF at the Character Settings Options.

So with equipment being implemented, here are some things consider for the future: * equipment pieces that have dual functions, for example a shield that can be used as a primary bashing weapon while boosting your defense, or spiked gloves for those who want to fight with their bare hands. Both of those are probably specialized enough that... * ...this of course leads to martial arts and such, which are probably slotted for the the time skills will be implemented * thrown/range weaponry (shurikens, bow & arrow....)

I've noticed that if you're dual wielding the "Physical Attack" stats of the two weapons are simply added together, ie the Damage and Hit Chance modifiers are the same regardless of which weapon is in which hand. Now, I'm probably shooting myself in the foot by suggesting something which will reduce the already dire capabilities of my equipment, but it occurs to me that "dual wielding" is not equivalent to "ambidextrous". For example, you don't always score a hit with the off hand. So maybe the stats of the weapon in the off hand should be scaled according to your level of dual wielding proficiency? But not too much.

The chance to attack with the offhand is already based on DW proficiency, agility, and dexterity...in that order...so in effect you can say the more often you dual wield the higher your ambidexterity is, also, that would put 2h weapons slightly ahead of dual wielding.

Okay, maybe this has been suggested already, but I haven't seen it in this thread, so here it is: When you are dual wielding, and your primary weapon kills your opponent while there are opponents remaining, I feel it would make sense to be able to turn around and bitchslap the guy standing next to the dead dude with your offhand. It would be the same concept as with 2H weapons smacking the next guy, but only possibly occur when you finish off the idiot you're killing.

I was wondering if it might be possible, when a monster is killed, to either gray out the monster box or reduce all their bars to zero.
Something to make the dead easier to tell apart from the living at a glance.
Is it possible to use different colour text? I know it is still early days, but the equip shop lists are quite confusing to look at, if either material types or item types could be given different colours I think it would be very helpful.

Due to mounting frustration in combat I feel it would be beneficial to reevaluate the miss rate. I am using either a shortsword of balance, or a rapier of balance that gives an accuracy bonus of +36 & +38 respectively. However, even with these sweet bonus's I fail to hit more often than not.
Instead an 80% base hit rate, how about jacking it up to at least 85%.

this is probaly stupid,
but what if you could instead of putting in a ability point in an increased magic, health, spirit, exp, spell when you level up
to adding profecently to one of the many profecientlies like i.e. one handed, duel whielding, elemental, curetive.
like the one ablity point adds 5.00 points to the desinated profeciently of the players choice?

Wouldn't it be interesting, if equipment quality deteriorated with use? For example, if you got Superior Axe of something, it would after some thousands of hits deteriorate to average, then to crude, then at some point would break.

uhm yeah...what Ebil Panda said. For the sake of argument lets assume we are all experts at equipment and weapon maintenance.

I bet everyone would love that. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) There might be some form of repairable durability loss, just to make it more like WoW, but permanent degradation is unlikely.
