QUOTE(A.St @ May 23 2009, 06:15) *

I think wis is worst stat in all stats

except MP

Wisdom is really usefull cause it gives you bigger chance to rezist enemy special attacks and MP regen
If you are caster specialist like myself its huge credit and time saver if you using natural regen most of the time

And last but not least
Spell cost increase acording to your base unmodiffied MP stat so if you do not invest heavily into MP you should end with spells which cost you half of your MP to cast

QUOTE(Sonic @ May 23 2009, 11:03) *

Sorry I only speak english but I think I can explain this to you in terms you can understand. Action Speed is how fast you take to perform an action. If you have a high action speed compared to a monster, you will have several turns before the monster has a turn. However, if the monster has a high action speed compared to you, they can have several turns before or after your turn.

Example (Monster has higher action speed):
- Turn 1 -
Cookie Monster hits you for 20 damage.
You use Fireball on Cookie Monster.
Fireball hits Cookie monster for 40 points of fire damage.
Cookie Monster uses Cookie Cutter.
Cookie Cutter hits you for 50 physical damage.
- Turn 2 -
Cookie Monster hits you for 25 damage.
You hit cookie monster for 40 damage.
Cookie Monster hits you for 25 damage.
You have been defeated.

Example: (You have higher action speed):
- Turn 1 -
You cast Shield
- Turn 2 -
You hit Cookie Monster for 60 damage
Cookie Monster hits you for 10 damage
- Turn 3 -
You hit Cookie Monster for 62 damage
- Turn 4 -
You cast fireball
fireball hits cookie monster for 80 points of fire damage
Cookie Monster uses Cookie Cutter
You dodge the attack

Hmm interesting so as caster investing into Endurance / Int / Wisdom is not as good [maybe for single hitting spells which are casted fast] but Agi should help in AOE nukes which takes multiple round.
I wonder what ASPD value have Magic Missile I asume its around 1.2 or so if you take that normal attack has ASPD 1.0 than in five turns you should cast 4 times Magic Missile or get to attack 5 times with no speed modfier against monster with basic speed

But thats just mine wild speculations (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Throwing this out there for anyone who knows, can you get your hit rating % to go above 100 if you raise your dex high enough? Or does it cap at 100, leaving you with monsters that will always be able to evade?

Going with a dex-heavy build atm, but will change depending on the answer.

Y'know, I'd swear that in one of the threads one of the higher leveled players posted a screencap of their Character screen that actually showed a hit% over 100. Damned if I remember who, though. Even then, though, I imagine you still have a chance to miss - it still has to take into account the monster's evade%, as well as sheer luck of the dice.

Edit: And Sonic sneaks in, posting before I finished drafting my reply. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Well, there's proof, anyway.

Currently, power only affects one thing? I kind of hoped it gave all attacks a little oomph (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

QUOTE(Tenboro @ Apr 18 2009, 09:31) *

It's random when you use a spell for a given element.
I'm still tweaking this, but... all effects have a base number of turns they last. For effects that are applied with magic, this is increased with the relevant elemental rating and proficiency (for elemental status effects). For supportive/curative magic (self buffs), it's also increased by a fraction of your magic rating. Non-elemental deprecating magic (the ones at the end of each tree) cannot be increased past their base number of turns.

Now, even if poison had lasted a certain number of turns (not sure how long, I usually kill them before it ever wears off), what affects the amount of damage it does each turn? I mean, I have it a lvl 3 with 2.72 magic proficiency and it only does about 5 dmg or less. Although I haven't paid attention to exactly how much it does recently, I do know it does very little.

Thank you for this thread! It's very helpful for a beginner like me to know which influence attributes have . Some hours ago I even didn't know about HentaiVerse (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

According to the hit chance equation my hit chance shouldn't be 96% as my dexterity and speed are both 9 so 9/10=.9
9/20=0.45 90+.9=90.9+.45=91.35 when will you put up the equations for the latest update?

a question:
i can`t understand this atributes:

Attack Hit Chance: 90 + DEX / 10 + AGI / 20
Magic Hit Chance: 90 + INT / 10 + WIS / 20
Attack Crit Chance: 3 + DEX / 25 + AGI / 50
Magic Crit Chance: 3 + INT / 25 + WIS / 50
Evade Chance: 5 + DEX / 20 + AGI / 10
Resist Chance: 5 + INT / 20 + WIS / 10

does this mean that DEX would increase my 'Attack Hit Chance' but AGI would decrease it?

So by these calculations the hit chance can't be lower than 90. If so, why is mine 83?

after the recent update where equipment was enabled, tenboro also lowered the base hit chance from 90 to 80.
