My first post of 2017. Meet Monster Number 90,
Bacon Moon Pie.
It's an American creation consisting of a large marshmallow made with maple syrup and bourbon, surrounded by bacon fat and bacon crackling caramel. This in turn is sandwiched between two pieces of Scottish shortbread made with bacon fat, rice flour, and bacon cracklings, and completely coated in blended dark chocolate.
Incidentally, I had to skip Monster Number 89,
Kraken Takoyaki, for a simple reason: I couldn't find any photos of this dish! All I could find were images related to a restaurant with the same name.
