The meat was a bit bony, but the dish was tasty nonetheless.

The plat du jour from Les Deux Palais. Unfortunately, I don't remember what it was actually called, aside from it being a fish dish.



It doesn't matter, though -- it was delicious.

Portions as generous as that make their sandwiches great value -- and they taste great, too.

A couple of elderly French gentlemen over at the next table were actually amazed when I ordered this dish as an appetizer. I told them that I was used to eating snails back home.

For those of you who are hesitant about sampling this dish, the garlic butter and herb sauce that the meat is immersed in (as you can see in the photo) gives the meat most of its flavor. It tastes very good.
