chocolate caliente is so thick is that it's usually paired with
churros -- a deep-fried dough pastry that you dip into your drink.
Chocolate caliente should be thick enough to completely coat and stick to
churros dipped in it.

If you're wondering what makes this version of hot chocolate thicker than your ordinary cocoa drink, it's the addition of a little cornstarch to thicken the liquid.
