well, i guess not many shade users are still around, and the few who are still active don't have 10M.

This post is actually to make a point.. that forging somehow decreases quality of an item. The result will be the same for all items except power of slaughter or lmax phase. (imo)

If a shade helmet would tangibly help somebody, I would loan it. I just don't think a single piece of armor has that effect.

I'm pretty sure that's it. People either don't want to pay for the bindings/hg mats OR they disregard the value of the vanilla item. Both ways result in a degradation of value on the seller's part.

But still, auction isn't over.. Maybe there will be a buyer. 10m is already damn cheap for this helmet.

so, it's actually a problem of people not wanting to pay for the surplus, not that forging would lower the value of the item. well, not that it matters so much for the seller though (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

The problem of shade is that it depend on evade too much. Making potential buyers would go for top ethereal weapon before good shade.
Me, for example, the evade increase from switching my exq shade to your shade raise less evade than switching my weapon to ethereal.

Well I love my shade. Click on the icons below to see my gear. I always take into account the value of the equip AND the forge materials put into it. Auctions are just tricky and market dependent. Sometimes certain items are hot while others not so much. Sellers can only protect themselves with starting bid levels. I'm still not sure why arcanist armor with 6 PABs doesn't go higher. Maybe it does and I'm just not seeing it. The lack of arcanist armor in these auctions might be an indicator that players are holding onto them more. I dunno...

I think another major problem with shade is the lack of piercing protection. Those damn mechs are a thorn in my side.

That's my point. The helmet + materials is worth well over 10m. Not sure why anybody would sell something for materials only.

I'm sure if poor people had $10mil burning in their pockets and was wiling to gamble on a 1H nerf/DW-2H-Light armor buff, it'd be gone.
