Jessica of Dragon Quest VIII appears once again. This is a bit of a strange one for me. It's a very different sort of art style than I'm usually attracted to. More than anything, what stood out was just how AWFUL the japanese typesetting was. Go take a look at the RAWs. You don't have to be able to read Japanese to see how terrible the language characters look. I don't know if all of WHITE ELEPHANT's work is is written like that, but I know of at least one more that is.

Editing wise, this is a very easy 20 total pages. The image quality is poor, but the bubbles are large enough that it shouldn't be a problem. I went back and pruned my script as well. I would offer my BONUS bounty for this one, but given the image quality I just don't see how it could reasonably be done.

This is a Red_Piotrus project. I've heard good things about Baccano, though I've never really checked it out. I actually caught myself laughing when I was translating this one, which is pretty rare for me with doujinshi. The project is about 20 pages. The editing job ought to be fairly simple unless you are also doing the sfx, in which case I wish you the best of luck. At least the image size is large, so the narrower bubbles shouldn't be too bad.

As an added bonus, this is actually the ONLY baccano H-doujin on the galleries! The editor who does this project will forever be known for editing 100% of all the Baccano doujins! It's like being part of history! Live the dream! (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Baccano is a pretty well known and popular series... I totally don't get why there's no h-material for it.

A couple of questions before I start:
1. Do you want me to level the pages to get decent whites? The scans do not have uniform tones, so to get to decent levels there will be some information loss. [a.pomf.se] Example
2. I've produced an (unleveled) [a.pomf.se] sample page. Are you okay with my choice of fonts and placement? I know some people are anal about dividing words exclusively by syllables, but I think it looks better this way.

1. I would say level to a degree you feel comfortable with. The scan quality is poor, and speaking for myself, I'm willing to toss out a few good pixels if it means dumping a whole basket of bad ones.

2. Looks nice to me. For the bottom right panel, top bubble, I might try to move "we" to the third line if possible. As a matter of visual style, I hate when a line ends with only a single word (i.e. up! We).

Another Dragon Quest VIII doujin, though likely my last for some time unless something really good pops up. Funny enough, I'm not generally a fan of futa, but futa-on-female is without question the pinnacle of the genre. This one is 24 pages worth of editing and DOES qualify for my bonus bounty for sfx replacement (PM me first).

I was pretty into Bleach when I was younger, but I more or less gave up on it years ago. Still, the characters still call out to me from time to time. It's funny to think about, but since almost all of the Rangiku doujins are Rangiku x Toushirou, Ichigo is an unusual pairing despite being the main character! The image quality isn't perfect, but the resolution is decent, the art is hot, and the sfx are fairly minimal. The edit job is 19 pages of fairly simple editing.

Unfortunately, the No Mercy 5 scans are worse than these, and we don't have No Mercy 1 or 2 at all. Well, c'est la vie.

Huh, I just assumed they would all be Bleach I guess. I have no problems whatsoever doing a Tsunade doujin, but that particular one doesn't really appeal to me that much.

Looking through some of my Bleach favorites, how about the last story from https://e-hentai.org/g/18730/8e3b922378/ ? A surprisingly rare pairing.

This plus https://e-hentai.org/g/33496/9d694867f7/ are the only two Chizuro yuro works not translated, and both look nice.

Wow, Crimson Comics, that takes me back. I could see myself doing either one of those, though not as personal projects. And if I did the Crimson Comics one, I'd want to do the whole thing.

At the moment, I'm about 1/4 the way through Love Dashi 3. My translating speed is probably going to suck for the next new days. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

For my next suggested project, I'd go with the bamboo blade (https://e-hentai.org/bounty.php?bid=11103), I think. But I'll add those Bleach to the "to do" list; through for the Crimson, I am not that interested in the first two stories.

That suits me fine, though I will probably work on an independent bounty translation right after Love Dashi 3. At the moment, I'm trying to make myself translate a minimum of 10 pages a day until things normalize for me again. Love Dashi will probably be done tomorrow afternoon.

Another St. Rio foray into the land of Love Hina. This one has Kitsune, Motoko, shinobu, and a bunch of nameless guys per usual. Strangely, I see from the gallery page that Kouenji Rei is credited for his input, but this all looks like Kitty stuff to me. It's a total of 32 pages of editing, and a few of those have almost no text in them.

As a warning, though, the image quality is fine but the scans are NOT very good. We're missing large chunks of several bubbles, and other bubbles are so cut off that the text isn't even visible. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Where necessary (pretty freaking often) I made educated guesses as to what was being said.
