Hoo boy! I always thought Gundam Seed and Destiny were overrated, but this was SUPER HOT! Gorgeous character art, full color, hilarious little story...I mean, wow. I liked this one so much that I even translated all the little handwritten text, which I normally despise doing. Now if there were only a sequel showing her reuniting with Kira... If he can really overtop the two of these guys by himself, that would probably be a doujin worth reading!

Editors, this is 16 pages worth of work, though the work is fairly intensive. Lots of text, colorful sfx, some of the bubbles are transparent, etc... If any of you are capable of doing fully redrawn sfx, be sure to get in contact with Red_Piotrus and I. We're happy to negotiate bounty rewards for quality work!

This is a fairly short DearS story, commissioned by Red_Piotrus. I hadn't actually heard of the series before Red asked me about this one. Fairly minimal story, but the art looks good and it's cute in its way. We have VERY little DearS material on this site, so every little bit helps!

Editors, this project comes in at 12 pages of standard difficulty work. The bubbles are pretty big, though some also have plenty of text. Not a huge amount of sfx either compared to a lot of the stuff Red has me doing. As with all our projects, please let us know if you can redraw sfx. We're both willing to negotiate higher bounties if you can give us higher quality products!

Stratos 4: another series I know nothing about, AND one with very few works on this site. I'm generally not a big fan of futanari, but futa-on-female is usually an exception. I usually don't like projects where there's no real story to them, but this one wasn't actually bad. Short and simple has it's advantages too!

Editors, the project is 16 pages (plus a coverpage if you're capable). The work is pretty easy with reasonably-sized bubbles and normal sfx. Nothing else to say, really!

DearS is a crap series, through I am surprised it got so little h content. A stereotypical harem, with an interesting premise totally wasted. Worse, the show even seemed to endorse slavery, or at least extreme submission. Yuck.

Stratos 4 was, from what I recall, much better, through not ground shaking. Girls in space, near future.

Read through both the Kabushikigaisha Liver-Sashi and Aozora no Catastrophe, found no problems. The title in UF's post has a misspelled "Catastrophe" but it's fine in the script.

I have never seen or heard anything about DearS but I've seen most episodes of Stratos 4 although not all. Surprised to see it here since there's really not much doujin made for the series.

I've been reading the DearS manga since I saw it was complete. I can see how the undertones might be creepy, but the whole slavery thing isn't really glorified at all. Quite the opposite, most of the time. Aside from that, though, it's pretty generic, yeah.

Perhaps there are differences between anime and manga. Or perhaps it is because the series (as many others) totally wastes the opportunity to become good. I did like the "alien spaceship full of escaped slaves catgirls crashes on Earth" plot. It could become a good sf story in the Alien Nation vein. Instead, we get a generic harem series, in which rather than focusing on the "slavery is bad", we get the usual harem femsub theme. Which I don't mind on occasion, but here I find that it bleeds into "slaves will always be slaves/harem slavery is good" kind of stuff, and that irks me of. I don't recall the main character (heck, anyone in the series) utter a single criticism of slavery. It is probably not intentional, just bad generic writing, but yeah, it bleeds into creepy for me.

Still think the characters are sexy and underused in h-stories, though (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) But I wouldn't recommend the series as worth reading/watching to anyone, too generic with creepy slavery endorsement undertones to boot (IMHO).

Here's the script for the YTS Kannagi doujin. Don't feel like translating any more for the time being though.

EDIT: Edits have been made according to the posts below, except the senpai/sempai thing... can be changed easily. Regarding the non-surprise kiss, Tsumugi's previous kisses (in this fanon) from him must have been sudden, so I changed things to show that more.

After I was done drawing, "it was quite a tough task overall..." was what I thought.
There were some parts which I felt weren't properly drawn, so I kept feeling unsatisfied.

The illustration here was meant for the back page. I couldn't decide on how Tsugumi's body should be, which led to the current design, but this one would have been fine too...

No problem with more people proofreading as Red said "more eyeballs, less bugs". I'd consider Kannagi to be quite a decent anime, I mostly enjoyed the comedy parts and my favorite episode is probably the one where they went out for karaoke. Correction: Surprise. But can you explain what she is trying to say here? The "Give me a kiss" is clear enough but the "that's not a surprise" part is a bit unheard of. I have never seen this kind of line before so to me the "that's not a surprise" part makes it sound awkward and is unnecessary. Maybe I'm missing the point as I really don't understand what she's trying to say with that line so could you please give a bit of an explanation for this one or provide a good reason for it?

As for the kiss part, I think he suddenly kisses her before that, so she's saying she wants a kiss that's not unexpected, but I'm just guessing here.

Since you're already here, though, I thought I'd give a brief Japanese lesson.

I can't believe I missed so many typos, especially "sempai".

Speaking strictly, "sempai" is (at least arguably) phonetically the more appropriate Anglicization. The Japanese "nn" character [ん] transforms somewhat depending on the character that follows it. In particular, "nn" followed by a "p*" sound causes the "nn" to sound more like "m". Thus, "sempai" is very accurate to what you are likely to hear.

SeNpai is in common use mostly because we feel like one character shouldn't be written to have more than one pronunciation, regardless of truth (ignoring tentens, which are another subject altogether). ん is deemed to be "nn" for all written purposes even though it is often spoken/pronounced "m".

Thanks for the lesson. I have seen a few subs and translations use "sempai" but very uncommon. It's nice to know how the word is properly pronounced. I do know that some words are sometimes said a bit differently from what it's spelled. I can recall quite some words that sound almost the same as another. I guess that's why they use those in word play like in SYD and Monogatari series in which they can easily misunderstand one word from another or connect different words that sound identical which we usually call a rhyme. I love those two series for that particular reason, the complexity of it and the need to actually listen to what they're saying instead of just reading the sub to actually get the picture.

More St. Rio goodness! Classic series, classic circle, classic satisfaction! This is one of my favorite Love Dashi works because it's the first to really give Kitsune a starring role. Before this she's always sort of second fiddle to one or more other heroines. Kouenji Rei also a story in there with Shinobu and Urashima. Not my favorite story, but it's nice to break up the Kitty action anyway.

Also, before you guys start griefing me, I'll tell you right now that I tried (VERY gently) to give Kitsune a Kansaiben sort of accent. Kansai-ben is a dialect of Japanese with a few odd words and lots of "contractions." I tried to keep the feel of it at least. I always told myself I would never try to do this, but I don't think it worked out too badly. Who knows; maybe I just need a little practice, ya?

Editors, this is a 41 page project. The first 15 pages are the Kouenji Rei story, which is fairly low text and simple, though the bubbles could be bigger. The remaining 25 pages are done by Kitty, which naturally means tons of bubbles and tons of sfx. Like the last several Love Dashi projects, the edges were cropped too closely, so a few of the bubbles are smaller than they should be. On the bright side, some of the bubbles are just gone altogether!
