I like One Piece a lot. To my mind, it's easily the best of the current crop of long-running serialized manga. Red_Piotrus found this one for me, and it hooked me from the beginning. Even with 3/4 the pages handwritten (which I LOATHE), this is way too good to pass up! Love the art here; simple, clean lines and the faces are great. Now if only someone would do another Luffy x Robin semi-romance... (Orange Pie 4 is EPIC)

When it comes to super hot nostalgia, the only thing that surpasses St. Rio for me is the Sogna Viper series. At the time, the games were absolutely the hottest hentai material available, bar-nothing. Even now, the animation, characters and settings hold up incredibly well. I mean, this stuff came out in 1995, that's unbelievable! Forget CDs, the game was originally distributed on diskettes!

V16: RISE is probably my second favorite of the series (surpassed only by the peerless RSR). Editors: this doujin, an oldie of Graf Zeppelin (who I could also wax nostalgic on, but I'll spare everyone), contains one medium length story and two 4-5 page stories. I believe it's a total of 27 full pages, plus another 2-3 pages of one-bubble translated stuff. NONE of the author rants are translated, I simply lack the patience. Sfx are very light. Overall, this is a pretty easy project for editing.

I need a bit of feedback on the fonts I'm using for Oppai Ippai Yumeippai. [mega.co.nz] Here is an example of them. I mostly need to know if my choice of SFX fonts are good or not. My main confusion is for the big SFX, I'm reasonably happy with the smaller ones. There's difference in the big SFX fonts between the earlier pages and the later ones, and I need to know which ones better (or if both are fine).

Also, there's an SFX that wasn't translated on page 09 bottom right panel.

In terms of progress, it's fully cleaned, while typesetted till page 09. Once I get the feedback on the fonts I can crack on.

P.S. Am I supposed to claim the bounty again since it looks like it's not claimed any more?

Ok, I accepted it. Also, just to let you know, I have exams for the next two weeks, so my work will be slowed down (slowed down, not stopped). Just a warning if I may seem unavailable.

p.3 TL note should be marked as such and moved to the middle of the white line, I think
p.6 the missing SFX is spread?
p. 9 I don't expect you to redraw the Shock SFX, but I think you could just add it in the white space between bubbles; ditto for other similar cases. Missing SFX for the bottom right panel (close?)
p. 23 missing bottom right SFX?
If we can add the few more missing SFX I think it will be ready for release.

I try to finish it around this week.

Here are my comments for afire1's Weather Report:

Page 3: Very last panel, both untranslated bubbles need to be "Hah", just like the other two. Red_Piotrus would like to have the note say "TL Note:" at the beginning.

Page 6: That sfx IS "spread", though frankly I don't care about it that much. It's probably worth doing if only because "spread" is also the first part of page 7 too.

Page 9: Yeah, a TL Note between panels saying "TL Note: Shocked!" would probably be best.

Page 23: Yes, that missing sfx is "Shock!" again. I don't really care myself, but if Red_PIotrus wants it then another "TL Note" would probably be simplest.

Page 24: First two bubbles, replace "nice.." with "nice..." and "good..?" with "good...?" . Regardless of what they do in Japan, ellipses must have three periods in ENG. 3rd panel, replace "aroundme" with "around me"

Credit2: Strictly speaking, we should probably replace "commision" with "commission". It's not a misspelling exactly, as it's correct for British English, but everything else is US English and it would be better to be consistent.


And that's it. For my part, only the page 3 and page 24 fixes are urgent, but the others would be nice too. Glad to see this one in the final stretch!



For andrewijk: The fonts look great, no worries. The missing sfx on page 9 is "Puaah...!" . I've sent you a PM and should be around more often if you still have questions needing answers.
