Has salvaging material quality been stealth nerfed? It's almost impossible for me to get mid-grade let alone high grade when salvaging Exquisite gear, even with 325+ quality.

- Removed the random factor when salvaging items. Superior will now always yield low-grade, Exquisite will always yield mid-grade, and Magnificent+ will always yield high-grade.

- When you salvage a low/mid/high grade material, you now also get a (reduced) amount of scrap.

- Tweaked the tier ranges for repair component to change Magnificent-quality gear from tier 3 to tier 2. Tier 3 is now only for Legendary/Peerless quality.

There is quite a lot of illogical advises here to kill us off the hardcore players once again~

Since this is the depression patch meant for nerfing the riches we're talking here, how about reintroducing the requirements for the bindings for the first five upgrades once again on legendary-quality equips again, and introduce the need for two rare materials to upgrade the weapons with a slaughter (Fragments of Massacre) and destruction suffix (Fragments of Ruin) which costs ~200k each of top of 100k minimum for binding's minimum pricing in bazaar and bots?

Cuz most legendaries that's worth auctioning (usually a slaughter and destruction weapon which is more desired than all others) would've been traded for Megacredits, so naturally anyone and possibly everyone who can afford one would be filthy rich enough to afford the bindings that it wouldn't have mattered if the first five levels of upgrades weren't subsided at all.

TL, DR: Blatant taxing of the riches is no go, so stop the subsidies for them cuz they don't bloody need them.

Exquisite club of balance salvaging results:
Salvaged Mid-Grade Metals
Salvaged 2x Scrap Metal

Now that's more like it, Adminpony. Cuz we're scrapping our equips really so naturally we should've expected a few scraps from our salvaged materials.

Had some more thoughts on the whole 5 lvl free Forge business ...
As a credit sink it's probably not that effective (35 catalysts for weapon/shield, 60 for armor, if i'm not mistaken), so 370 catalysts for a full round to lv5. So for exq it's 185k C, 370k C for full mag, 925k for full leg. Compared to the relevant equipment prices that's not that much.
Though, to be fair, this is just the catalyst cost, LG+MG mats can be salvaged and only infer an opportunity cost, mats for rare armor on top are a killer depending on the armor type. (25x for armor, but when you salvage an equip when you get an upgrade, you regain 20 of these)

I'd say the forge levels are more to combat power creep in player monsters.

So, back to scripting ... so much to do with the knowledge that condition influences sale price >.<

The nerf to salvaging has now made the decision process so simple as to be nearly binary.

Average or worse for materials that you use get scrapped and the rest are sold to the bazaar. Superior get sold. Exquisite Tier 1 gear of less than 900-1,100 credits gets salvaged depending on the item bot price, otherwise it gets sold. Lastly, really awful Tier 1 Mags get salvaged, particularly if cloth or wood based.
