Due to Patch 0.80, HV has gotten pretty depressing. So I was thinking (Most probably along with many others) how HV was much more fun before the introduction of the nightmarish Durabiity. And seeing how it won't be going anywhere, I thought "If there was another HV whether there was no Durability, then it'd have been great".
Now, if you people are interested (And if Tenboro and the Mods gives permission), I can try to reverse engineer HV to forge a Similar Game out of it (without Durability). Of course, it won't have as much feature as HV right from the start though.
I don't plan on copying HV entirely. I have some other different things in mind for the new system, such as: 1. Long range weapons: Guns/Pistols/Rifles/Crossbow/Bow&Arrow etc (each with their own unique features). 2. Field: You start a round with random mobs (Like usual), in a random field (i.e. Ice-Field, Volcanic-Field, Forest-Field, Graveyard-Field etc), which will give away particular bonuses for that round (both to you and to the Mobs). For example, a Volcanic-Field will boost the power of Fire Attributed Mobs and you too if you're a Fire Mage. Conversely, it'll decrease PMI of the Ice Attributed Mobs and you too if you're an Ice Mage. 3. Inbuilt Auction-House system. 4. Essence of the Gods: A special untradable type of one-time-use items (with levels based on Rarity) based on folklores & myths. For example, if you get a Essence of a smite god, it'll help you in forging, while if you get a Essence of a war god, it'll assist on your grinding etc. 5. Forging your own weapons: Do I need to say more? 6. Stealth Master Mode: Similar to grinding, BUT: At the beginning of the rounds, all the monstes are asleep. You need to take them down as carefully & silently as you can, without waking up anyone other than your target. In other words, it's a kind of "different" play style rather than Mindless-Massacre style play. 7. And some other stuffs like shifting the Norse Myth Affinity to worldwide folklores (I mean a whole lot of other country's myth based Spells), Party Hunt, Area Explorer (a Mode where you can choose to grind in specific Field) etc.
Also, willing people from here will start with their respective Levels, Awards, Stars etc with the same bonuses in the new system.
But, there's no point if nobody plays it even if I make it. So, if enough people are interested, AND if the permission is given to create one, I'll start.
What do you fellows say about this? Opinions are welcome.
P.S. - I'm forwarding this Thread's link to Tenboro and Varst. If you have read this thread, please reply in this thread to let the people know what you think of this.

In fact, I planned to make an idle game that having similar system as HV, but player do not need to do much in battle. Perhaps it will be done after a few years. However, I would say no to another HV liked game. This post has been edited by Colman: Jun 12 2014, 17:10

Are you also going to clone another shitty website to put the game in?
Personally, when I get sick of HV, I play Sushi Cat. It's way the hell more exciting. You can even change his outfits.

Psychological Question: Would you say the same thing if your Star and Cookie was kept the same (and gives the same bonuses) in the new game? That depends on the public. If many are interested, I have no problem hosting it. But I will NOT start unless a lot of people are interested, even if the permission is given to create. (Since the work will be H.U.G.E.) This post has been edited by retra: Jun 12 2014, 17:21

FYI, I donate not because of HV, but because of I think 10B deserve to have some donation for making/maintaining the site. Anyway, I spend more time on the forum than in HV. If you are going to clone the game, better make a colorful UI. What language are you going to use? Php + html5? This post has been edited by Colman: Jun 12 2014, 17:22

Hmm, frankly the durability thingy doesn't matter much to me, but I'm all in to join in the Hentaiverse's sister project. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) I'll give some game balancing advices while you're at it as well, the first one being have it hosted in Singapore (the entire E-hentai Gallery is hosted in Netherlands, including HV) while giving a customized peerless equip by paying a Camarilla's worth of money. And a few festival events for legendary armament huntings (the latter needs some botting detection ability for the job though). You would need at least the same amount of people who are currently playing to join your site. Think about how little people there would be buying and trading items. Even if it is made, I see very little success. The DNA of hentaiverse is gaining credits to download from galleries. Your site would be relying on the subset, where people only want to play the game and don't want the durability but with no ability to download galleries.

Do not need to be too serious. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) The current HV is rather complicated and require a very long time to copy. (200+ hours just for the core code IMO.) For inexperience programmer (I'm not sure how good he is), the UI will give him more problem. To make a HV like game, it must be cross platform, so the language is likely to be php+ html/html5/flash(AS3)/java Considering it will be a newly written game, using html is a bad choice. Learning html5/AS3 will require some time. So, even if he do not give up, the game will not be finished (or at least playable) within a year. Ya, due to the adjustment to Mag item and the latest Salvage system, it's not an issue anymore. I'll keep your advice in mind. If the game is made, that is. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) QUOTE(LostLogia4 @ Jun 12 2014, 19:18) Care to make my level carry over to this new game?

Relax, buddy. If people are interested enough, something to replace the Gallery system can be added. Besides, this is also a survey to see how many people actually seriously play HV. And Non-Durability is only one of the features I'm thinking of. QUOTE(Colman @ Jun 12 2014, 19:40) Do not need to be too serious. I wouldnt mind something that also included AI team members and an auto pilot.
Also a part that can do something along the lines of a dungeon crawl, where every so often you get to chose a direction at a fork, or have a random event where you can choose from a variety of actions based on your party.

Honestly, durability isn't really a problem for me. But that's probably because my equips all have 600+ durability, and I don't play as much as some of the other peeps here. I like HV, but the community is small enough as it is. I doubt a clone would garner that much interest, even though some of the ideas seem pretty cool.

Don't you just love the music and the little angry faces he makes during the story? I like all the games in the series. I even made a banner with Sushi Cat and Bacon Dog in it a long time ago. Everyone liked it but it didn't place. Aw. My next step would be to get a Sushi Cat plushie. Does HV have a plushie doll? Nope. HentaiVerse T-shirts would be doable, though.

I like the little animated cutscenes in-between the game too, I could watch those all day. :3 I remember the banner you made, I think I entered one too, but didn't place... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif) This post has been edited by ShatteredWings: Jun 13 2014, 04:05

I dunno... most people got into HV for the porn credit, not for "fun", and most will promptly retire after their first mil (come to think of it, I should retire too (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) ). There's exception, but they only constitute of 10% of the playerbase (but 90% of total HV playing time, and obviously 90% of the resource) (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Also, have fun fending off botting, DDOS attack, and general hacking. A lot of people take fun from those kinds of activities (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif) This post has been edited by holy_demon: Jun 13 2014, 04:14

They can only use the script/complied programs from their friends*. As a result, they will get caught, but the damage they made (to us) are not refunded.
