Yeah their comment was boogling my mind as well. This isn't a PvP game.

Credit sinks help new players as it keeps inflation down. New players can also sell their GP that they can get for more credits. The lottery system has also put deflationary pressure on legendary equips and below by increasing supply.

Well, if it's comparable to clearing levels in Candy Crush Saga faster, I'm not seeing the problem.

FWIW, GPs trade at twice as many credits as before the lottery was introduced. While I may make some changes to the #2-#5 prizes, it's fulfilling its intended function, so don't expect there to be any fundamental changes. People who contribute to EH will have advantages in HV. People who contribute more will have higher advantages. Working as intended. You have quite a few yourself, considering your awards.

I'm not speaking for everybody, but some of us are complaining about the heavy reliance on the lottery for decent weapons. And if someone like StonyCat, who is HV rich (deservedly so), with maxed trainings, who plays a shit-ton of rounds, and yet still relies on the lottery for his own weapons, then doesn't that say something? And honestly, I don't care if he wins the main prize AND GP prizes daily; I just want to see decent drops when I play.

It's not a real problem per se. I can see the benefits of the system being a money sink, etc. It's just that in exchange for that, a lot of the not-rich players are gonna end up unhappy with how it's being done. Think of it like a Sim/Civ game; you have to keep the majority of your population happy somehow. (Well, the people can't really revolt in here, but you get the idea.)

TBH the same can be said to everyone who's complaining about the lottery equips' quality.

Also, do you know some banned players lend their accounts to a certain player so he could grind more? So you're telling me that letting those with more GP to grind more times in the arena won't widen the gap?

I've played simcity 3000 quite a few times. The majority of my population weren't happy even though I've decreased all the tax rates to 0%.
And I always wondered: you don't need to pay tax, you have great public service coverage, the traffic's good, there are parks all over the city. So why in the hell are you still unhappy with that?

The lottery weapons are "good", but there's just one of them per day. You can't honestly expect the 50-60000 daily equipment drops to all be as good, and like I said, the lottery is just 5% of the total amount of Leg+ equipment.

The new awards may possibly get a bit more than the old ones, but I'm not planning on changing the existing ones.

Personally I have no Problems with the Lottery so here 3 Suggestions:

[ ] change nothing
[ ] remove GP Prices so super rich people become poor faster
[ ] add Stony Blocker! This means the Winner can't buy Tickets in the next 3 days.

I have no offense, but to the people whining about same person always win:
By banning a person who win the prize for 2 days (or any N days), what does it change?
I don't know who is the richest one, so just let's say the 1st richest as StonyCat1, 2nd as StonyCat2, 3rd as StonyCat3, and so on.

First day StonyCat1 wins, so he's banned.
Second day StonyCat2 wins, so he's banned, too.
Third day StonyCat3 wins, so he's also banned.
And fourth day StonyCat1 returns. Now it's the time he wins again!

What's different from now?
Well, it is meaningful at least if you are StonyCat2 or any StonyCatN. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

Here's what I foresee it doing: People who actually have the GP won't put it in for trivial(arctic katana of the vampire) prices. However, will their market value be different from that? No. Other people who want it will put in GP resources until it matches the high market value for win odds.

The win list may change on them.

And for the thinks like Peerless estoc/staff of good stuffix....Under billion GP pot will be a dream. People will look back on the peerless redwood of destro and think "Damn, that was so easy to win".

@MSimm1: There already is, system takes 50% GP.

I think some of you miss original purpose of the lottery. It was not made to make people happy. It was made to be GP sink. Gonna be some kind of contradiction, to lock people with most GP from participating.
Edit: also, locking itself wont change a thing. While it only encourages multiaccounting, there is always legal way around. Lets say "Stony1" got locked from participating on day one. Now he gives 100k kGP to someone, adding xx hath for participating service. There are legal "proxy" auctions. You only gonna get legal "proxy" lottery.
Now are there any real suggestions to the problem?

What did he cover? Another stonycat - say stonycat2 will win even if original stonycat is banned forever on lottery, and whiners might not become the 'stonycat2' of course. Are you happy now by seeing that stonycat2, 3, 4 rotationally wins, for not only stonycat alone wins? (actually even original stony does not always win though) You will say then, 'now let's ban stonycat2, 3, 4, ... , ∞'? How long? Until you win the first prize?
