And why should Tenboro give equips away almost freely (if lottery's limited to 1 ticket per day) when he can get more from the auction/shop? What kind of logic are you trying to make here?

The entire "1 ticket per person" premise is retarded, since it would be a giant incentive to cheat with many accounts. And the cheaters would win. Every time.

In real life lotteries, there are occasional consolation prizes of token amounts, so that people feel an immediate success, rather than a distant one.

I think it would be good if something similar would happen with this one - instead of giving you a ticket, the lottery could occasionally spit out 10 credits at random.

Maybe it could even have a slight odds of giving 1 hath - it would be one in a million, but the reward would make everyone feel good, just for participating!

A first step to maybe satisfying the masses is to remove the GP rewards in the lottery and replacing it with something else.

Maybe change the GP prizes into stuff like:
2nd Place: 30 Blood tokens
3rd Place: 30 Chaos tokens
4th Place: 10 Crystal "Packs"
5th Place: 5 Crystal "Packs"

edit: or remove the crystal prizes and make them all tokens so they're all non-tradable, which further discourages spreading GP across multiple accounts.

Seeing the same old rich winners getting to recycle a part of their GP in the lottery everytime isn't boosting satisfaction/morale for 99% of the players.

i think lottery is funny ， i got 2/4000 tickets ，and win the 10% gp (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

For Realz. I get no good weapon in like forever, either in DwD, TTT, TT, FSM, random. I am just saving up credits/hath to buy GP for when I see that Legendary Katalox staff of Destruction in the lottery.

I have never found a PXP 370+ weapon from grinding since I played HV (more than 1 year at least).

But Lottery 2.0 has generated a lot since 5 day ago ~ (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) ..well.. I check it again..all are 370+..

I think give up grinding and save money for Lottery is a better way.

People complained about the equips' quality in the lottery. Now that it's guaranteed to be good, people should be satisfied...right? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Well, its a lose-lose situation either way.

Only the rich players have a decent chance of winning the good Legendaries and Peerless in the lottery.
"Making the rich richer and the poor poorer" indeed. That's the sad reality of it.

@Rei-Tenshi: Lottery wouldn't get many participants if it was just GP prizes.

Heh, and tbh as it is it is an opportunity for both ~poor(who can get high return per ticket if it is heavily tilted) and rich. Remove GP prizes, and the guy who has done more H@H for the site in the past year than next two guys in the all-time toplist put together will have even more GP comparatively, as not only others don't get GP to compete but GP becomes more scarce. (Which also makes him richer. And one such guy > over a thousand meh h@hers).

Honestly, I think the HV Lottery is just a bad idea overall.
All it did was further widen the gap among rich and poor players.

Sure, it rewards the contributors to the site, but did these guys really need another advantage on top of the shit-ton of GP/credits/Hath they're already generating ?

When you say it widens the gap between the rich and poor, do you mean to imply that the equipment generated is more valuable than the GP put in by all the players?

No, it means that the guys who are already rich enough and can generate their own hath by the 100s daily and can buy anything on the market are the same people winning the great items in the lottery.
