Let me illustrate that for you:

I tried the first couple of weeks. I didn't get a damn thing and saw the same people winning most of the time. I quit after that and now I'm back to just accumulating GP for not a fucking thing to spend it on. I don't mind not winning, it's seeing the same people winning most days that irritated me.

Why not make participating in a lottery lock you out of the next one? That way, people will be more hesitant to buy thousands of tickets. They'll have to ask themselves, "Do I REALLY need this?"

And what irritating me is that people still go on about lottery and same people winning. "Let's lock Stony from participating in lottery". Lets also lock Danixxx from leveling and HTTP monsters from participating in battles. Just because they are best. Thats called envy.
After seeing lottery results for quite a while, and seeing mostly same people winning a lot, that can be one of two reasons:
1. They are winning by some underhanded means. I do beleive its not the case and the lottery game is fair (in mechanics sense) Also I dont see any gains for Tenboro or any of the winners.
2. They are investing a lot in every lottery they end up winning. And thats it.
You dont win a lot? You just dont invest a lot of gp. You did invest a lot, but still didnt win? Well, there is still a bit of luck and random. I bet Stony can too say something about some of the days when investment was high, but didnt result in a grand prize.
So, lets just drop subject. I think ut would be interesting to have more smaller type of prizes, but lottery as it is now, is both fair and serves its purpose.
