i don't think they can do much harm to the site itself, unless the "world police" goes apeshit over japanese doujin artists' complaints, a scenario which doesn't seem likely. if the servers are not stationed in japan, the most they can do is try and go after japanese users of the site. same goes to scanlation groups i think... those that aren't working in japan don't really have much to fear, at least not at this point.

As you are aware, doujin artists are starting to make claims against scanlation sites. As a scanlation, I'm afraid of this situation. So, in order to avoid any problems and mantain our privacy, I ask you to ban all japanese users from this website.

This is getting very serious, and I'm afraid that the solution of banning all japanese users is the most acceptable.
