Bubblegum Crisis (the original,not BGC 2040) My fiance got me into that anime and I was hooked from then on. BBC holds a special place in my heart. After that I couldn't get enough.

robotech definitely is what got me looking for more anime. i actually didnt even know it was robotech until much later because i was just passing by someone on their computer as they were watching it. i was so amazed and thinking "holy shit this is anime?!?" it was a dogfight scene with missiles flying everywhere over a beach. thats when i went home later that night and started looking up anime and what shows to watch

Probably Saint Seiya.

Well, it was called Chevaliers Du Zodiaq on Club Dorothée of French tv channel TF1. it had a lot of cut content and censorship and I coudn't understand a word of it, but it was all we got.
It later got followed by Dragonball Z, Sailor Moon, Ranma 1/2 and some tokusatsu shows like Bioman.
