Hmm... not sure. I watched several as a kid without knowing they were anime and I watched them at more or less the same period. My first ones were Moomins (the 1990 series), The Wonderful Adventures of Nils and Transformers: Armada. I must have forgotten a few but that more or less wraps it up

Attack No. 1, Sailor Moon, pokemon.... Can't exactly remember which one came first. Tough the first anime that I recognized as "anime" is probably Naruto.

Hmm...it has to be something which was on public TV at that time, so most probably Saint Seiya? Either that or Lupin because they were on the same channel, but my memory it's a bit fuzzy

It's not my first, but it might be the first for someone on here so I'm mentioning it. I'm watching The Mysterious Cities of Gold (1982) right now. Especially likely to be a first if you lived in Europe during the early to mid-80's, I'd think.

I wasn't alive when the show was on Nickelodeon in the States, though.
Mine's probably just Pokémon or something. Though I don't know for sure if I saw "Speed Racer" (mach gogogo) first.

Well yeah there was some animes from tvs but what really got me into it is Baka to Test

One of these five: Mazinger Z, Grendizer, Voltes V, Daimos, and Mechander Robo.

So pokemon was like my first anime but aside from that my first real anime was The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. I just found it one day on youtube back in middle school.

Soul eater, pokemon, Naruto and Fairytail are the first animes I've watched
