Not counting DBZ and other Toonami stuff? The first show that got me to look up anime on the internet was Bleach, back when it first aired on adult swim.

Very first? Probably Astro Boy.

What got me into anime? I'm ashamed to admit... Love Hina, in high school.

Rurouni Kenshin sparked my obsession back when it aired on Toonami. From there I took the adult swim route with Bebop, Inuyasha, etc. I'd imagine that a vast majority of Americans were introduced to anime through Cartoon Network, so much so that they may have lost some great opportunities to work directly with Japanese animation studios. They could have also cornered the market for publishing rights and distribution of manga in the United States. Just a thought. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

Sailor Moon. It was tough being a male fan back then.

Inuyasha on Adult Swim got me interested, then Naruto, and Death Note was what got me hooked.

Though I've watched animes like DBZ, Ninja Hatori, Doraemon etc before I moved to the US, what got me back into anime in the US was Full Metal Panic! and what got me nuts about anime I would probably say Eureka Seven. I was crazy about mechas back then.

The Tekkaman dub, oddly enough. I didn't really know it was anime due to how young I was, I just considered it another cartoon, but I loved it and wanted to see more like it. Didn't really understand what anime was, however, until Toonami started airing anime.
