Like a few others, the first anime for me was Speed Racer, but I don't count that because, I didn't know it was anime. Robot Carnival on late night Cartoon Network was when I began to take an interest in Japanese Anime. However, I didn't fall in love with anime and go crazy, until I discovered that weekly Anime was being subbed and uploaded on the Internet. I think that was in 2007. It was then that I watched "Goshuushou-sama Ninomiya-kun" and then "Amaenaide yo!!". At the time, I didn't realize that "Amaenaide yo!!" had already finished airing. Since then, I have followed Japanese Anime as it airs, religiously. Daisuki Anime! I love Anime! It has been my solace during some very difficult times. Thank you Japanese Animators.

Pokemon, but i dont count that because back then i was still a child. so shingeki no kiojin i guess

I don't really remember, I had watched a few random shows but never got into it until after Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. Some people actually get angry saying that I should have waited since I didn't understand the references, but now like 8 years later I still wouldn't understand all the references anyways. I think the theme of SZS is way more interesting than the silly chalkboard writing anyways.

I got lucky with my first anime. I remember being in the back of an of video store when I was 12, and buried amongst the random fantasy titles was this cool, plain, jet black cover, with bloody scribbles on the front. It must have been some sort of bootleg, because I've never been able to find that same cover art for any DVD case online.

The eclipse fucked me up pretty bad, but I had been staying awake past midnight a year before then to watch Spawn: The Animated Series, so the damage was already done. lol

Needless to say I was pretty fucking hyped a few years ago with the new OVAs. Watching that eclipse on acid... now that was a trip.

I guess technically Sailor Moon and Pokemon back when I was a kid, but the first anime that really made me a fan of it was FLCL. I remember staying up late to catch it on Adult Swim all the way back in ... I wanna say junior or senior year of high school? And I was enamored with it.

I watched few animes before I really started watching like now and anime which made me wanting watch more was Code Geass, because this anime I got into Mecha too. Those few anime I used to watching was Pokemon, DragonBall (when I was kid) and later when I was teenager there was Naruto and I found Captain Tsubasa from time to time I like rewatch almost whole series. But I started watching anime because my friend was talking to me you need to watch Death Note, Code Geass, Higurashi and well that's how anime watching started for me.

Pokemon and Naruto, nothing special.

I watched Dragonball Z during Frieza Saga when I was like 5

I watched Akai Kiba Blue Sonnet when i was 7yo - liked kuudere since then.
Demon City Shinjuku around the same age was actually scary.

But what really got me hooked was Neon Genesis Evangelion, my all time favorite.

I've seen dragonball, yu-gi-oh, digimon and pokemon when I was younger. It's anime but I didn't know anything better when I was younger.

Those were the first but what really got me into anime was School Days. Might be messed up but friend recommended me it. I enjoyed the anime medium and went exploring. From then on i've seen in order: Aishiteru ze Baby, Suzuka and then THE BEST ANIME OF ALL TIME Clannad.

Clannad really got me hooked and ever since then I've seen a total of... let's see... 304 anime's (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
