I don't know the name of it. It was a giant robot show I watched when I was like 6. I wish I could find it for nostalgia. The main character had a red jet which kind of folded its wings upwards and landed in the robots head and became it's cockpit. At six years old I thought that was the coolest thing ever. If that rings a bell with any of you I would love to know the name.

My first anime was sailor moon when it was done by DIC that was on in 1995. Suffice to say it was VERY terrible when I went and re watched that version years later realizing how terrabad the dubbing and localization was.

kiki's delivery service was my first anime movie (i first saw it around age 5), and in like 2007 or 2008 i was waiting for futurama on adult swim and had to wait for naruto to finish and wound up enjoying it.
