I really don't frequent the forums if at all and pretty much held a similar stance that you currently have of where I wanted to provide for the community when I use to upload and commission scanlations. I get why you say the things you do and get the idea this is a mix of style and what you feel is an accurate translation. A wee bit interested in the drama of this porn translation I kind of regrettably looked through some of your archives after my comment on one of your latest translations.

But it's really weird that you've pretty much blocked out any level of criticism at this point. Even the constructive ones. One of the core reasons people translate for free or do low level commissions is to build upon their skills in translating. While your translations are less broken compared to when you started, there still seems to be room for improvement and outside of the shorter "you suck" comments, I've seen a few point out noteworthy criticism that you should be taking to heart rather then this more deflective/arrogant stance you've seem to have adopted. Granted its the internet and one of the easier it seems to handle internet comes is to become my cynical and judgmental. Myself not excluded.

Leaving you to the drama of this hentai site, I do have one final criticism: Your rapist/thugs seem to be one of the most articulate rapist/thugs I've ever seen. Try to take into consideration how authors go about their works where, while the parts written by the author can be very articulate, whimsical, etc etc when explaining scenes or generate the flow and style of their writing; they still separate that style when there is actual dialogue in their stories. That's not to say the doujinshi artist take that into consideration when they write all the time, but it seems most of the groups, both inside and outside of hentai, understand some adapting/localize etc etc needs to done to help hold the translations together.

In short, I think your work still needs to work on feeling more organic and natural. While better then earlier translations, there are still times where you fall into a 60's comic book vibe of where the characters are overly descriptive of their actions. Or like a old Speed Racer episode. Not as bad but enough to be awkward at times. Sorry to bug you. It's late and for a odd reason I felt complied to reply. You have good intentions it seems but it does seem to be making you more and more sour with a bit of a chip on your shoulder and if you plan to do something with these translation skills you and your crew have, you can't really have that when translating other people's works.

While your post appears to be full of hope and good intentions, TG23, that will not work for this group/user. Many other translators are willing to learn and improve. You'd just be wasting your time here - and you don't want that unless you are a true masochist.

While Noah's explanation makes sense, the latter is much more likely. Especially considering the translation interest is long over - amazing people still believe there is hope in here, that's like hoping a dog will spawn golden eggs - and why, look at some of his crew.

If you really want to help them make their way where they are expected to go, try this.
- Keep calm and don't try to expunge their galleries unless you know what you are doing. A bad translation by itself does not count as a valid expunge. Note that this also means anyone can publish any machine translation without any "penalty" besides community frustration (constructive feedback and useless comments are different things - "I love it" and "you're a nuisance" both fall under the latter) if that is not done properly.
- Don't visit their galleries and don't comment on them. The galleries will not be of interest to you and you will be tempted to either help them fix mistakes or outright rage at them - comments will only fuel hate and trolling.
- Don't retranslate their works. You don't want to be rude to someone while actually trying to help them. You don't want to retranslate translations of a previous translation and you don't want to do their homework either.

Don't mind these haters comments xD, they could choose not to read this if they didn't like it but they're still bashing, telling lies, some are even making a reallly nasty comment in a very well put logical statement (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif). Well, that means they probably hate us so much because they're loosing translating income if we're translating free stuff for the readers (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif). They are even attacking comments from people who support us. If you don't believe me, try to make a supportive comment about our translation and these haters will call their friends and gang-up just to down-vote your comment. You can see their hatred in every [Laruffii] gallery. In some extreme cases, they're even ganging-up just to expunge our galleries or putting rewrites tag. These haters aren't people who understand about rights or freedom, they have some kind of serious problem and really need a hug (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif), You'd know that right from looking at the way they write comments, normal people wouldn't do that (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif). We have never even made any harsh comments toward them even if they really hate us and make a very rude comments to us. So, We think you can choose which one is doing right and which one is doing wrong. Because what he's doing technically isn't against the rules. Although the trolling with fake names (Miku Kurogane, for one) should have some sort of penalty. But that's not how it works I guess.
