Tried to do? look at his stuff, holy moly. Yeah, let's eat shit, it's better than nothing.

The thing about Laruffi translations (if you can even call them that, I call them "shitlations") is that they are terrible! I know that a lot of people just want to fap, but if I am going to masturbate, I would like to not laugh/be enraged by the horrible grammar and spelling mistakes (and the fact that when they have done doujinshi work in the past, these fuckers can't even bother to look up names in the series they are translating). There is a saying that goes something like: "Do it right, or do not do it at all." That is what this "shitlation" team needs to do. I have never seen a "passable" translation from this group, and the fact that I saw a few posts saying that they are working on translating a H-game... Well... That game is fucked.

This "shitlation" team is the main reason why we NEED things like the "E-Hentai Scanlation Literary Review". (I would post a link, but since I am usually a lurker and this is my first post, I cannot post links).

For all those people who say "what about the people who aren't doing translations?" "We should be thankful for what we are getting." "It's better than nothing."
Fuck you, better =/= good.

The ONLY good thing that I have seen come out of all of this is that Laruffi is inspiring people to make good translations/fix these shitty ones.

I don't know who reads this thread, but whatever. When there's a problem, one should try to fix it; and if you're not willing to make an effort towards that goal yourself, you don't have any right to bitch about it. It's plainly obvious that Laruffii's translations are sub-par. While I wouldn't know how accurate the translations themselves are, I am willing to help out in correcting grammar mistakes. I'm in the middle of getting a master's degree in English linguistics so I should be more than capable. I don't have any experience working with manga, but I've worked on anime with Subdesu in the past. I've lurked this site for probably 5 years, so it's about time I contributed a bit. I won't charge anything of any form.

TL;DR - I'm willing to correct your English grammar for free, please allow me to do so.

I hope this means people are actually starting to give a damn about how translations sound. I have a dream that one day there will be no more ridiculous phrases, corny choice of words or utterly stupid lines of dialogs. If that dream cums true then thanks go to "Laruffii" for fucking things up so bad it made everybody else wake up. Too bad they woke up to the smell of shit rather than the delicious aroma of MILF meat though.

Can't say if they translations have gotten worse, but when Laruffii started out he (they) stood for something, MILFs. He's not a good translator by any stretch of the imagination, but he was translating stuff other people wouldn't touch. That made him something of a hero, and you know what they say about heroes. You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become a villain. So he's a villain now, one who still thinks he's a hero. Captain Planet turned into trash man who's delivering garbage rather than picking it up.
