is this staff I aquired worth leveling for a holy/dark mage spamming them alternately?

It will probably be worth it after leveling it, it just won't have great stats but good enough I guess if the person that gets it is not too picky.

Put them in auction and see how it goes:

As a mage, INT/WIS is a bit more important, though evening them should still be fine.
You can put INT/WIS at 105-110% of level, AGI/END at 100% of level, and STR/DEX at 80-100% of level.
You don't need to put AP into elemental resistances, as it's quite useless.

The problem why you're having problem with mana is because you're not having the offensive weapons.
You should really focus on one element/holy/dark and wear the appropriate suit that raises the EDB matching your focus.
For example, if you want to be a dark mage, you should pick fenrir which increases your dark spell's damage.
Also, pick a staff of destruction. For elemental it's ebony, for holy/dark it's katalox. Try to pick one with MDB > 35 if it's ebony, and one with MDB > 32 for katalox. The number is for reference only; if should cost a few hundred thousand credits, and if you want to excel you've pick staffs with even higher MDB, which will be more expansive.

Difference between holy/dark and normal elemental:
Holy/dark cycle is more mana-demanding, but it gives greater damage output.
Elemental cycle is less mana-demanding, but its damage output is much lower.

Also, choose your AP on spells carefully. Pick all the spells at its higher tier (against bosses/legends), then pick cheaper and lower tier spells which complement your focusing spell.
For example, if you pick dark, the complement spell would be holy. You will alternate between dark and holy spells in battles.
For elemental, it's fire -> cold -> wind -> elec -> fire. You'll need only 1-2 complement spells for elemental tier.

No. Demon-fiend and heaven-sent clothes/staffs will eventually become less useful (less powerful, I mean) if you gain enough forbidden/divine prof. for your character.

Using void shard, I haven't seen my attack missed at all thus far. But I've read somewhere that some people said they still missed sometime because of monster evade or whatever...

I've never had good luck with katalox staffs, the only 2 of destruction I still have are these too.

The duration might have already expired and they havent caught on, thinking it still have some sparkles left

I think the limiting factors for mages is the mana usage, not burst damage. That's why at later levels ET>DPT sometimes, especially schoolgirl marathons.

I use a redwood with holy for schoolgirls & FSM

I always find it quite cathartic to sell rare(ish) stuff to the Bazaar.

That is why my inventory is over 900.

So I'm having a hard time with my School Girls, having only made it to round 80 of EoD today.

I'm pretty sure it's because I need some better weapons (I'm spending so many rounds per girl that I'm wasting more mana on buffs then I need to be).

and because my DW proff is only 62.27 right now (which I'm working on)

These are essentially the only ethereals that have dropped (the club I got from the bazaar) for me.

My question is, will leveling up my DW proff be sufficient in increasing my chances or do I really just need to upgrade both my DW and 2H (probably an inevitability)?
I'd rather not spend the credits now if I can help it...
