Perhaps some would like to have a quality multiplier for the post count? Sadly; somebody would have to determine the quality.
If it'd be a democratic voting system, people would probably mistake it for and agree/disagree system. People would probably abuse the system as well (as they can practically abuse the karma system).

Does the post count really do anything? I've been around forever but I've never really taken the time to investigate the finer details of the system.

Every few hundred posts give you a point of power to use to distribute karma or have more spirit in HV. Or something like that.

the more i post, the more exp i get during DoD event. i need to keep it above 1mil exp. before our beloved Tenboro implemented one of the newer patches (i forgot which one), i used to get 2 mil++ exp each day.

and it was free!

then the patch came. imagine the shock when i got 24 exp only for my DoD :<

so here i am, flooding the forum just to increase my DoD exp. need to level up fast.

Wait, so that's why I've been getting like 30 grand when I usually get like 15-20? Oh wow, ok, that's odd. And how the FUCK do you get in the millions?! That's like retarded high. Honestly now that I'm at the hundreds in level I just put the difficulty to IWBTH and do the hourly fights for around 300k exp.

I remember when karma affected your HV stats, I was playing in like hell mode at level 40. Took a break from the forums came back and got WASTED in seconds. Then normal mode was kicking my ass, turns out some patches while I was gone made HV a lot harder if you didn't have full equipment.

I though posts added a diminute amount of power (1/500 or so) and you only needed one per day or two days to get experience bonus (See EHWiki). It could be kind of outdated though.

Anyway posts aren't that important. Flooding should be close to useless, compared to posting once or twice a day in threads you deem relevant.

According to the wiki all you have to do is post once a day, every day of the month and you might get a bonus of maybe 5% per day. Which maybe stacks together for to equal like 100% bonus at the end of the month, then it resets.

hmmmm...but i replied 30 posts yesterday (10 more than my regular 20) and my DoD experience increased from 1700000+ to 1800000+ today.

The amount of exp you gain during the DoD is equal to a certain percent of however much EXP you need to level, so the more exp you need the more you get, then the one post per day 5% stacks on to it, and it's cumulative, so it's 5% yesterday, 10% for posting today, 15% tomorrow ect.

Really, it should just be a number that doesn't affect anything. Granted, I can see wanting to provide some bonus to people who have been around a while and contribute to the community somehow, but you wind up with so many people posting just for the sake of posting, which is the exact opposite of the desired effect.

But as has been said, flooding does not help anything now. DotD gives you a flat percentage of the exp you need to level, plus a little more if you're maintaining one post per day.
