I absolutely hate about 80-95% of updates. Windows, HV, etc. - just about every update in the world seems to be designed to screw me.
Windows: Oh, we have an update that even though you have your settings set to not automatically update, we'll update anyways and thus due to a conflict, completely disable your monitor and sound card. Well, I guess you could just reinstall windows, delete everything on your computer, and restart from scratch. Like seriously, I disabled automatic updates and it updated anyways (probably some bug)
HV: Oh, we'll just screw over everything you've been working on.
Online Game: Oh, hey, you know that thing that you use in the game and nobody else uses? We'll nerf that because we got complaints about you using it and it being OP - even though statistically, it is the weakest item/skill/race/etc. in the game. And we'll buff everything you don't use even though they are clearly superior already. (Seeing as how I often end up in the top 20 players in most games-very often top player period, other times, top free player

edit: I'm not always a free player, but I generally don't pay unless a free player can reasonably keep up with a pay player unless I have a reason for paying).
Single player Game: Oh hey, you know how you totally made a mod for the game to make sure it won't lag even if you put the game at full specs? We'll update this game and completely invalidate your mod and we'll make our engine less efficient so you can't run the game at full specs. Oh, don't mind the around 97 memory leaks that doing this caused, we just wanted to make sure you can't play the game. Oh, and we removed your graphics card from our list of supported cards and added a check to only allow you to run the game if your card is supported so you now need to buy a new card to play the game. Oh, and to top it off, we'll remove the old versions of the game now so you can't just revert.
Program: Oh, we see that most of our users now have 16 GB of ram or more. Because of that, our program now requires at least 16 GB of ram and uses 9. Just as a complementary f u.
Chrome: Oh, you know that function you use? We are removing it. You can still use it for now, but if you ever reinstall Chrome, you won't be able to use it ever again. (See windows)
