AT&T is pretty similar. Their service is shit (consistently ranked at the bottom) and they forced their customers to upgrade their service at the threat of extra fees. And you can't do anything about it because telecom is a motherfucking oligopoly. What the hell is the FCC fucking doing?

I haven't had that problem in at least 8 years. It's all about pacing yourself. I find it's not the prick that's over sensitive, it's the mindset you're in when you fap. If you can draw it out.
