blakfayt: Foodstamps, in the right hands can be a relief. Too many people get their hands on an EBT card and buy a shitload of junk and processed poison. And sometimes people sell their card for drugs and the like. Most people I see at my job get that much stuff not because they need it, but because they can. I'd have to save up two weeks pay to get a cartful of stuff. It's infuriating how much they abuse the system for people who actually need its help.

Maybe glorify was the wrong word. I doubt that something like All in The Family would fly by today's society. A well written show like that would be cancelled in a heartbeat. People don't wanna learn or use their brains, they'd rather do things quick and easy or stay narrow-minded. Not all people, but the majority.

As for fanmade stuff, things like the countless recolors of Sonic and Tails and Fakemon(ESPECIALLY Fakemon)are cancer. There's this mindset that GameFreak is running out of ideas by giving us a new bird and rodent/mammal every new Gen(Never mind that nature has rehashed more creatures than you can count). These Fakemon are guilty of doing exactly what GameFreak is doing wrong and yet they're better than official Pokemon. Most are inspired/ripped off of an already existing Pokemon except that it may have a unique typing. That's it. Original content can be good but it's seldom seen.

Lastly, I'll point back to the second paragraph. You can't have shows like All in The Family or the Cosby Show on mainstream television anymore. Everything has to be a reality show, an American Idol ripoff or a drama(Which can be good most of the time). It's what sells and it's what keeps networks afloat nowadays.

I hate my lack of scheduling ability, by 2PM today I have to write a three page paper, easy, by next thursday I have to correct and submit a 5 page paper, difficult, by next friday, the day after that five page paper is due, I have to have turned in, or be turning in 6 page and a half long papers FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCKKKKKK!

Well, see I had to turn in 10 page and a half long papers throughout the semester, I'm just a stupid fuck who didn't do them because it's more fun to play Silent Hill. Hardly matters though as I'm bound to fail one class for not turning in a paper over stuff I didn't understand at all. When I told the professor I didn't understand the material he blamed me for not understanding it. Prick.
