QUOTE(kingwolf @ Nov 4 2012, 05:29) I wish I could, but I don't have enough credits and I can't grind enough to make more credits.
when you just past lv200, it is possible for a player still have 100% chance to beat hourly too, and no scrolls and IA spark involed. switch to elementist mage, elementist gears are cheap and very powerful compare to non-top holy/dark gears. full your spirit tank, mana tank, sacrifice your exp tank use action flow like this graph http://ehwiki.org/wiki/File:Hourly_4343.png------------------------- another way to do hourly from “syh617”: light armor + dualwield +sleep, this way should also works, but i never tried This post has been edited by eqwer: Nov 4 2012, 10:57

But it seems to be a rather demanding way, too. I think, I'm going to stick with Arena and IW. Thanks for enlightening the ignorant ones like me.

it looks complicated, but when you practise, it just natrual routines. btw, i forgot to mention, agi from gears is very very important, 0 agi gears and agi-made-action-speed-above-205 gears will make you feel huge different when you play IWBTH. I heard old time mages used to use "double haste"(buff+scrolls) to do high difficulty playing This post has been edited by eqwer: Nov 4 2012, 17:09

Wow, you guys have trouble with Hourlies?
I can beat them 100% of the time on IWBTH. I dual-wield club/rapier with Shade armor. And of course, I have Spark of Life and Spirit Shield on my Innate Arcana slots. Those help a TON.
If you don't have Innate Arcana, GET IT. It's VERY worth it.

You're level 300. Things only got hard when a player reached level 200 because the monsters suddenly jumped a 700-800 power levels. I had some troubles with it when i reached level 200 too so i had to switch my power armor set to shield armor set and start to use deprecating spells. Things get easier when you level up because the monsters power level stop increasing at this point. Now i'm only level 216 but i don't have any trouble with 501st or the like on IWBTH and i can switch back to my power armor set. I don't know why that guy can't beat hourly battle on Battletoad though because i never lose any hourly battle on IWBTH since i was level 100.

Every player need some time to remember the powerful monsters, adjust their strategies, get more decent equips. etc.
At least I haven't heard anyone having trouble with it after 220+.

I think you guys have it worst. When I first hit level 200 there were about only 5 800 power level monsters and elia who was 1215. Now I'm seeing new ones such as deadly moth. edit maybe you should change your weapon your using. I remember I change from Scythe to estoc. This post has been edited by Insania: Nov 4 2012, 19:50

. . . I don't know what I expected when I clicked to see what's going on in this thread these days. QUOTE(moonflow @ Nov 4 2012, 04:34) Damn, it seems that it's a rather elaborated way to make some serious exp. At your level, it's not a huge experience gain.

I was responding more to Mantra64's post. He's many levels higher than me and yet he's still using a debuff? That's what I found odd.

Will playing an IW on Easy give you less Potency? The wiki says it's based on the monster HP modifier so..?

easy is pretty much the only exception when it comes to monster hp/modifiers, every benefit is halved on easy

Would be nice if monsters above a certain PL were a different color than the rest so I can prioritize targets. What color were the mini-bosses, gray? That should do fine.

Regarding artifacts. To make the scale with level would be easy if they were percent bonuses not flat

Just died twice in IW on Normal difficulty in under 30 rounds. That's never happened before. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Edit: Just switched to an Exquisite Hallowed Scythe of the Banshee. Took advantage of the extra SP and spammed Spirit mode. Got to round 30 before dying this time. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif) This post has been edited by kingwolf: Nov 5 2012, 01:13

If not, get it. That'll help a lot. And use gear with high Physical Defense. That'll help you quite a bit.

More Physical Mitigation and higher END is better than having extra SP. Also having ethereal weapon also helps. When using two-hand weapons, remember to first attack weaker monsters to proc both domino strike and bleed, since Eila the 501 and Lisi can parry your attacks like 80% of the time.

I've got spark of Life, don't have Spirit shield yet. I might re-spec my abilities soon. Problem is those spells use lots of MP which I already use a lot of for Regen and/or Protection. An ability re-spec will start me off with a lot more MP, but MP recovery is slow with the light and heavy builds I use for IW. Innate Arcana? That one Hath perk? I got three Hath right now, I don't think so. And 150k credits isn't enough to buy Hath or replace my "Okay" equipment with "Great" equipment. It's impossible for me to compete with the super rich users in the auctions. QUOTE(Coma @ Nov 4 2012, 17:42) Maybe your luck sucked? I just cleared the final IW round on Hard.

I'm very unlucky actually. I very rarely get Channeling. Anyway, my heavy set currently gets me 58.5% Physical Mitigation and +106 points to END. And since I'm poor, I can't buy a good etheral weapon to replace the ones I have now. I'll keep those monsters in mind when I fight again though. Edit: Oh, I forgot to ask if we can donate again yet. You should recall how you got defeat: 1. Get hit hard from every monster and eventually got killed; 2. Unlucky enough to get hit by SP skills or magical skills. Besides: 1. Don't bother to use a light build. 2. Ethereal weapon is a bad choice. Use voidseeker on elemental weapons.
