I worked but not as much as I thought I would. The thing I thought I'd be doing today and tomorrow has now been postponed to next week which will now be a very long week.

I rolled out of bed with my socks hanging off the tips of my feet and my pajama bottoms falling off my ass and my face puffy as hell from drinking too much (I'm an adult, I can do things like that). Then I ate and took a shower and stuck my head out the bathroom window to breathe in some fresh air and then I checked the mail. I got another b-day present! I dunno if I can say who it was from but thanks to the two awesome people who sent it to me. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

I spent most of today talking with a girl I can't have; I feel cold...and alone.

Today I went out and planted some more sunflower seeds in the bare patches in my flower bed where my cat had scratched around. The seeds I got were a different variety than the other ones so I'll probably have all different heights of plants in a few months. But that's OK.

Oh, and I had a little talk with my cat telling her to stay out of my flower bed for good. All she did was give me that look, like she wasn't hearing me at all. She never listens to me. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Awwww! That's so cute. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Why don't you just keep her inside the house while you're gardening? Make her a house cat.

I don't think I could since she's 16 and already set in her ways. Whew, one time when she was a couple of years old I tried to put a collar on her. She acted like a bucking bronco and then scratched and bit the hell out of me. I learned a great deal of what she would tolerate due to that incident. She's a tabby cat, and tabbies are inherently wild like that.

But this morning she was outside for a really long time and I just knew where she had been. I gotta go check the flower bed damage. I might also go out in the back patio and set up the table and chairs we had put away for the winter.

If you look at pictures of the African Wildcat, which is the cat the Egyptians first domesticated and the breed all cats are descended from (I think there's also a European Wildcat), my cat looks so much like them it's scary. She acts like a wildcat, too. I've got the scars to prove it.

She also does mind control on me daily. My brother once said to me, "You know how witches have cats as familiars? Well, you're her familiar." Meaning I do all her bidding, which is true. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Anyway, I didn't get much done today. I just sat around on my can and watched movies on TV. Oh shit, I gotta go feed my cat right now, hang on. . .she's giving me that look. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

yeah I have two tabbies, I find that the female(Abby on the right) is much wilder than the male(Krinkle on the left). Abby is much harder to do things with like put her collar on or give her medicine. I mean she tells the hell out of us if we try and put her in the carrier to go to the vet. Krinkle is still difficult but not nearly as much as Abby.

Percy's a tabby. She can be pretty wild too.

If you try to move her she'll bite. Unless you ask her politely. If you do something w/out asking and she doesn't like it, she'll get wild and tear the apartment up. Same goes for not cleaning her litter box, refilling her food dish and going to bed a certain time. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Today I did most of the work for the special family sauce recipe and then helped out a friend fix somethings up and then went out for some clam chowder with family and went home to finish the rest of the sauce.

It was the first time my eyes actually burned when cutting onions. A new experience, I would have liked it if my eyes would water though.
