QUOTE(Zynm @ Dec 23 2007, 02:49) And Damn, I'm postin after Pad again... Go away Pad go away shoo!
See? I told ya. Twins. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Today, I did laundry and watched some Jesus/Christmas stuff on TV. Nothing too fancy. I should water my plants while I'm still thinking about it. Oh! And I have a new battery to put in my car. Dammit, now I gotta get up off my butt and do that shit.

Some family came over and exchanged some gifts. Then completed and sighed at how easy Assasins creed was.

It wasn't much different than making a bowl of oatmeal really, but you bake it for about an hour. I guess it's more like a pudding, think english style, not the custardy stuff we call pudding. Think bread pudding with oatmeal instead of bread.
It tasted like a bowl of oatmeal with raisns, cinnamon, and brown sugar.

Ah haystacks, oat delights, mudpies, are there any other names? Today I'm just helping to make pies. I'm sort of the mixer around here. Any job most would use a hand or stand mixer for is me with a fork or whisk here.
And now the recipe:
2 1/4 cups Quick cooking rolled oats 3/4 cup Packed brown sugar 3/4 cup Raisins 1 tsp Cinnamon 1/2 tsp Salt 3 1/2 cups Milk 2 Eggs 1 tbsp Vegetable oil 1 tsp Vanilla
In large bowl, stir together oats, sugar, raisins, cinnamon, and salt. In separate bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, oil, and vanilla; pour into oat mixture, stirring to combine. Pour into greased 8 inch square baking dish; bake in centre of 350F oven for 50 to 60 minutes or until centre is set and firm. cut into 8 rectangles. Serve warm.
It's good with a little syrup on it and could almost be eaten for breakfast if you really want to. If you try making it you'll find that the mixture is very watery and all the oats and stuff has sunk to the bottom. Don't worry, it's supposed to be like that, just make sure to level out the oats in the bottom of the pan, It will set up nice and solid and quite dense.
I wonder if I should mention my mother's delicious mayonnaise cake. It's a chocolate cake and if it sounds weird, it isn't. A lot of cakes contain oil and eggs, and mayonnaise is basically oil and eggs.
