It's actually pretty nice. This summer's been pretty great compared to last summer, when we had over 70 days over 100 F.

Anyone here in the deep south? It's looking to get nasty later this week with Hurricane Isaac on a path for Louisiana.

Yesterday we had earthquakes all day, which is weird. It had cooled off a bit but now it's hot again. Not quite as hot as hell like it was for most of August but a normal hot and still humid. I'll be glad when summer is over.

Where I am, I might be hit by Isaac (oh no!) so i'm hoping for the best.

As for the hurricane, I'm wondering how bad it's going to be... I ended up doing a lot of work down in NOLA after Katrina, and it was pretty fucked up. If they do get hit again, I hope there's a better response this time from FEMA and even the local government (which was too busy fighting over stupid shit to do their job).

Air conditioning has greatly increased my apathy toward what's going on outside. I think we had some light rain, though, and it's definitely been hot and muggy all this past week.

Weather? It used to be super hot just a few weeks ago. Now it's down to very hot.

I don't get the people who praise the weather here in California. It's always hot (although I figure it's even worse elsewhere), and air conditioners cost money unless you're hanging out in public—then it's free. I'd move if I can.

Staying in a college dorm though makes you just crank that shit all summer long. 100+ outside? Fuck that, sit in your room and do your homework in the fucking freezin cold. Mines on like 65, but it feels like 40, needin a fuckin coat on up in this bitch.

I love winter. It's only 11oC here. Stupid spring weather. I'd be happy if the temperature in Melbourne was 4oC all year round.
