Haha, hope they didn't do that with mine, I graduated a year early, and opted to just get the damn thing in the mail, so either the people who were in my "class" were like "Dude, I haven't seen him in FOREVER!" (cause I went to an alternative (see closest thing to a prison they could send me to without me breaking a law) school) or they called my name with the people the year BEFORE THAT. In which case a bunch of people I never met looked around in confusion going "Who the fuck...?"

We don't have graduation ceremonies in high schools here. They're just like "Here's your piece of paper... now fuck off". University graduations are always ceremonial. Also, I find it very strange you would ask this particular question on a hentai forum....

I don't think anyone was being hostile but Beryl, being a moderator, has the right to be concerned as allowing minors to roam around unchallenged in a porn community can cause issues and unwanted attention.

As for the question, I'm not sure lol. I left school early to do a computer course instead, but I'm sure if a student were concerned about an embarrassing middle name or something, they could talk to the faculty about it.

I think they always call full names. If you tell them ahead of time that you're not going to be there, they won't call you (I think).

Also, how old are you?

At my high school, they allowed students who were opting out to pick up their diploma before the ceremony.

They graduate.

I believe schools normally do it systematically by row and use First/Last name when calling a student up. They might call people who aren't there, but it's not like they call a person and give them their diploma and then call the next person. Typically they call people up and a line starts to form. So if a student doesn't show it's like...whatever. I assume there would be some sort of system in place to find no-shows.

When I graduated, we were all seated in rows alphabetically by last name, I believe. Each row stood up one at a time. Your name is called, you go up and get your diploma, then you sit back where you were.

It's utterly boring. I think I'll just skip going to my college graduation.

That's how my high school did it. I skipped college commencement, so I can't say what that's like.
