I already have 9 anyway. Also, I'm not too concerned about cost really. This is gonna be my main 2-hand weapon for a long time (until I stumble across a legendary ethereal or a better magnificent but the chances of that happening are slim to none). I want it to come out the way I want it, and I'm willing to reset it until it does (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) .

Aye, go for it, and best of luck. It is a nice weapon, and in my opinion, if you're Melee, a good Estoc is the way to go. Everything else is too slow by comparison, you can maintain your sanity on long runs. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

good luck, you'll need double the luck; luck on potency rolls, and then luck on the elem strike roll. A shame it didn't have the 3rd pab. That'd make the potency rolls more favorable at least.

Yep, only thing I don't like about my estoc, no built in agility. But it still has the two most important PABs for an estoc! Plus over 9 base strength makes up for it, imo.

Also reset is done, felt sad to see all that extra damage come off my estoc (T_T). Wish I could do IWBTH runs like 4everlost and get the first 5 potencies in 2 runs. Then I could see if I needed to reset after just one or two item worlds.

Next try: Swift Strike 1... Kay, I can live with that, let's hope the second level goes okay.

First run, I'm actually okay with this. We will see. ^^

This is my first maxed item. It took forever since I had use a low difficulty, but I needed to grind my 2H and Heavy Armor profs anyway.

Exquisite Demonic Mace of Slaughter

I got SS to level 5, but my attack speed bonus seems sorta low. Does it scale with my level like other bonuses? I don't think I'll reset it in any case since I feel lucky to have only gotten SS and Butcher.

Should I get an estoc to level up next, or is PA not as important if you're using a weapon with void damage?

I would always recommend an estoc over a mace, at least the way things are for now. You're safer with a mace probably. PA always matters, Void or no.

I agree with Setebos. It's awesome that you got SS 5 on that mace and that should make your clears all the less painful. Still Estoc gives the fastest clear speed for melees and is far more useful even if it's not void damage.

Little bit weary about not starting out with butcher, but what the hell, I'll keep going and see where it takes me.

now swift strike lv.3... God, I'm having conflicting feelings about this. I just know I'm gonna get to level 6 or 7 with no butcher and have to reset. On the other hand, swift strike is good. If I had it my way it would be all swift strike and butcher. I can get my endurance and such from my armor.

It's not a bad Elemental to have, not as desirable as Holy, Dark, or Soul, but better than Wind. A good weapon, but it would have been nicer to get another Butcher level too.
