I had the exact opposite experience from the above. I started out 2H till 50, but DW was bringing more success on higher difficulties.

Both Wakizashi. Evade close to 30% and parry 40% with an attack speed of over 21% and 147% of hit chance.

The drawback is the "low" damage output.
