For a long time I just used Mage with Kevlar armor but since Kevlar has been discontinued and I naively got rid of mine I have been using 2 handed or dual wield and Leather and or Shade armor with a lot of success.

I used to do DW with mixed light and heavy. But with the recent changes, a decent set of shade and club/rapier is my basic staple. Considering shield and club since it worked out well in the past when Battletoads was the highest difficulty.

initially i used 2H longsword, now mostly 2H estoc or niten, both with full shade arcanist.
my third set is DW axe + rapier, currently switching axe to club.
also, it did cost me a few time and credits but i finally can say all of my main weapons are ethereal (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

Currently light armor with a longsword, but after reading this I may change to a mace. Domino stuns do sound tempting.

Been DW light melee since day 1. Was tempted by Niten for a bit but I'm put off by how proficiencies don't increase while using the style.
