The Official Item Shop Bot
You can now camp the item shop in your sleep, using the newly added Official Item Shop Bot. The bot gets first dibs on everything that gets sold to the Item Shop, and if anyone has a standing offer for something, it passes it on to the highest bidder. Better yet, the official Item Shop Bot has a zero millisecond reaction time, which means you'll no longer have to pull out your hair in frustration dealing with macro users and other, lesser bots with sub-second reaction times.
- The vast profits the bot is expected to rake in will go straight to the Moogle War Veterans Foundation.
- Note that bot tasks expire after a month, when you run out of money, or when the specified amount has been bought.
- Also, the bot won't pick up items that happen to be in the item shop at the time the task is set up.
- Finally, the bot isn't equipped to deal with equines shorter than 1.5 meters, nor artistic representations of such creatures.
Note that effective cost per each item depends on which other bids are present:
- If yours is the only bid, you only pay the minimum value regardless of what your max bid is.
- If yours is the solo highest bid, you pay the second highest bid plus one credit.
- If several people share the highest bid, the winner is picked by random, and the cost is equal to the max bid.
- If the item was sold by a player, bids by the same player are excluded from the calculations.
Fair warning: for obvious reasons, you should never put in a strategic bid higher than you are actually willing to pay, since people could easily troll you with it.
I think we may need the old healer, or whatever it was called, back
the current method focused on restoratives for quick healing may become useless for those who can't buy them in the item shop when it runs out
New players who show up and can't earn many cred's very quick will be discouraged (i think) and may walk away from the game entirely
Even at my lvl 113 i'm a little discourage by lack of real fundage available.
For most stuff by the time i have enough funds its already gone
and by the time it comes back I'll have spent the cred's on something else i need or want
also Tenboro
maybe the bot should collect cred's like the trainer?
you deposit your max bid at the time and if you lose or if you pay 2nd max bid plus 1
you get your stake or the difference back
like canceling an incomplete training session
you could even charge a cred or five or a percentage like the mail for making a bid
this might discourage people from the abuse it looks like (to me) might become prevalent
The folks have been saying that the battles easier
While that's true in the sense that you last longer
between the double hp in monsters and the lack of corresponding increase in my base damage
it now takes me four hours straight combat to go from 1st blood all the way trough Longest Journey.
That's a rather tedious task of point click point click (it might i admit take a little less time if i weren't running hv stat)
it really just seems to return combat to the feel it had before the last combat upheaval
i mean at lvl 113 i was getting 1-2 shot kills per monster in normal (hoping to get all mine in before some monster gets lucky on me)
now i'm back to 2-3 sometimes 4 hits to get a kill in normal
thank Tenboro, the monsters damage also suffers from the lack of increase that I do.
and just as i'm done with that and want to grindfest or crysfest or item world or just random encounter
my stamina drops below 80 and i'm not getting the damage/exp/cred bonus no more
i think i understand why this is setup this way and i apologize for the rant and ramble I put here,
but
I just sometimes feel a little discouraged and this patch just brought that feeling to the fore front of my mind
