For those of you who are very high level 1XXs and wondering what the early 200s are like going to be like for you doing IWBTH hourlies:

It's basically like playing Russian roulette, with an extra bullet added to one of the chambers for every one of certain monsters who show up to the party. If you get 4 or 5 show up at once that you aren't prepared to handle (elementals with massive resists, giants with infinity damage output potential, Noihara Himari, that irritating bitch Lisis, whatever) then there's no chance.


I've basically gone from losing maybe one hourly a week, to losing around 4 to 6 hourlies per DAY. They crit me harder than I can heal with cure 2 even when I have cloak of the fallen active, it's a bit of a nightmare trying to survive it.

I think I should make a big red sign with words "Stop playing hopscotch on a speedway - use mace and kevlar" and put it in my sig... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) I'm not saying it's the best combination (it has it flaws too), but at least you'll have some safety.

You don't even need mace. If not for the fact that my mace are already forged over 9000 time, I would use estoc on a more permanent basis now. Though I'll likely need to lower the difficulty on the longer arenas... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) ... DW is actually quite nice in this patch as well.


What I believe is, instead of the extreme difficulty ramp (it is harder, but playable) people are complaining about, it was the fact that it required much more 'attention' to play successfully in this patch, and that is what the issue is really about ... Since I've (almost) always play HV with 100% attention, I didn't find the game that much harder; the game was much more difficult when I was still using Niten playing at lower difficulty. Srsly though, the problem is it's been cached without a name. Those cached elements expire after a day or so.

Public disclosure usually isn't a good idea, since a bunch of people tend to end up getting banned.

14 7 Nyakomimi Mode crits you for 6310 piercing damage.

My max HP is 5490 and that's with cloak of the fallen up reducing all incoming damage to 25%.
