Hitting a person in his sleep doesn't make him injured more than if he's awake, but that's how it work in HV before the last patch, and I don't see any complains even though it make no sense as well...

Well, actually it could make sense. When a person sleeps - he/she can't perform any type of minimal self-defense like turning, covering with hands or whatever to reduce the damage. Plus you have much more time to target the perfect spot to deal maximum damage. So in fact hitting a sleping person could really provide more damage.

For a long time now, I've been reading a lot of people complain that missing an attack against a stunned monster doesn't make sense. While it may appeared to be a reasonable complains, one need to understand that, in this context, 'making sense' doesn't actually have a meaningful meaning. So it's not exactly a valid complain.

Yes, because I can survive an hourly battle with all my buffs (and using pots) for 1 round on IWBTH, so I have that set on IWBTH for that. But none of my Arenas are done with anything more than HARD. Take a look if you don't believe it.

Some people find HV easy. Some hard. It seems to be assumed that the difference is flawed strategy and poor equipment. But I think it can also be the difference in Hath perks. I started playing when hath sold for around 2500c so I was able to buy several perks that help me survive the shambling masses. Maybe those that are having the hardest times are just starved for hath.

I seem to be in the not-having-much-trouble crowd, even though the only hath perk I have is the first Innate Arcana slot auto-casting Haste for me. (Currently saving up for either IA II or black aura - not sure which is better... Any advice?) While it certainly is a help, I don't think I would be doing much worse without it - it feels more like a convenience thing than an actual boost of power. Of course, I'm still at level 185 at the moment, so a few more levels...
