For the most part very happy. Of course soon I will find something that I'm utterly pissed off, until then I will enjoy.

Hmm monsters are defo more bad ass now. Got pummeled at HARD [!] in 4 rounds (I know, I'm not exactly PL 300, but still...). Real bummer is that bazaar value was halved for equipment. It doesn't matter for peps who play HV 24/7. It does for people who can spare few hours of casual gaming. Grind for the sake of grind is kind of stupid if you can't enjoy some credits freedom.

As far I'm concerned 3 things are missing from HV:

1. some increase of credits. Like 10%/100 levels, just a thought...
2. some token credits increase in Arena. 'Growing Strom' yields 1000C just like 'A Dance With Dragons' challenge. Even additional 100c from level 70+ would be nice.
3. some Stamina restoration with potions. I know that there is Energy Drink, but I haven't seen one for 2 months+. Maybe Energy Potion, cost 5-10K, which will restore 5 Stamina with limit that no more than 10 EP used/week so it won't be abused.

Oh... and bring at least 2 retired (grey) monsters as Rare class.

Generally though I'm OK with the minor changes and I love the new Monster Lab features, but IWBTH seems to have gone back to the good old impossible-to-beat days. And even worse, the biggest downside seems to be the crippling of the credit-earning rate since profit by selling to the store is already halved and subsequently all the forum prices will plummet too after this. And just as I was saving up a bunch of Phase, Shade and Power items for a shop update. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif)

First impression is that monsters have become rapemachines. I've been getting owned alot more in arenas which I cleared with only haste + regen (regen 2/heartseeker if channeling).

But after a while my take is that evade/parry/block will become less useful than straight mitigation as more monsters reach 20% negation in evade/block and 50% negation in parry/resist.

Yeah looks like all-out-dps-for-real builds are better now.

Probably just stack high damage/Str Power armour with 2H scythe and put all points into Str/Vit dumping the rest.

I'm all for faster pacing in HV. However, monsters are getting to be too strong, especially with the "ignore defenses" buff, on top of the increased damage from chaos tokens.

I think player damage should be buffed a lot more, to compensate for the potentially insane growth of monsters.

After playing a bit.. Tenboro I'm begging you to either change the exchange ratio of damage to sp (when triggering spirit shield) or the factor that determines our SP battle regen (the 1/30). Or perhaps add sp regeneration to puzzles.
My sp can't keep up with the health or mana regeneration. I'm not talking exclusively about iwbth either. It's on all difficulties. SP is drained really fast while hp/mp tend to stay near full, which means I can do better without spirit shield on lower difficulty settings because my mana would do a much better job to cover that same damage.

It's not unplayable of course, but it really sucks if sp of all things drains too quickly. Since it's the slowest to regenerate.

I died on round 11 of the 20-round arena on IWBTH. Lost about a million SP from Spirit Shield in one round and Spark of Life failed. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

One interesting thing with the upgrade.

The first monster I ever created, was power level 53, but it had never gotten a battle won or a kill.

Whith this new update it was reset as Unnamed Reptilian. I have renamed him back again (and spent a few crystals just incase to raise to power level 54)

Hopefully this may reset the issue and he will now start being chosen for battles sometimes, after all my most resnet monster (number 12) has already gotten 2 battles, 1 kill (power level 34)
