Potential bug, I don't know, but I got fucked over by the Riddle Master maze when it wouldn't let me type in a letter to answer the puzzle. Tried typing D, wouldn't allow it, and I clicked the answer box numerous times til the time limit ran down, so I just hit enter and lost 1 point of stamina. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

There should be tradeoffs to upgrading monsters. You shouldn't be able to upgrade THE EVERYTHING to maximum level regardless of how many Chaos Tokens you have -- limiting Chaos Upgrades to a maximum global limit may lead to more varied and interesting monsters instead of overpowered monsters by the highest level players.

I was doing alright up until I got to arena level 12: Dark Skies. From this level to Level 17: Endgame I lost 90% of the battles. Classified Godslayer Strength +241/+10 Dexterity +29/+9 Agility +34/+15 Endurance +155/+17 Intelligence +12/+12 Wisdom +9/+12 all basic auras equipped with level 4 for red/orange/yellow/ green and level 3 for blue/indigo/violet Also have black and white auras equipped with featherweight shards on some equipment. Nah, fuck all that! Even using Regen 2 with average/greater potions for support and im still getting cut down rather easily by those damn monsters pulling Super Saiyan 3 bullshit on me. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) I always play on NORMAL mode (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Before the update, on a good day I could make it halfway through End Of Days on Normal. I was hoping to beat it sometime by October but at this rate? It's a bottomless pit of trying to level up just to stay even with these freaks. Can't imagine how difficult it is for a new guy at level 5-10 with crude weapons trying to get anywhere.

I think the problem is a bit more fundamental than that. Most HentaiVerse strategy has revolved around equipment and optimizing your attacks to clear rounds as quickly as possible while staying alive. Monster variety, since you don't know who you're dealing with, changes nothing wrt this principle. Monsters have only "attack", "more powerful attack 1", "uber attack" and use them as they please. I don't play any differently when there are different monsters out there, and therein lies the problem really. Perhaps the game could be slowed down to fewer, more rewarding rounds (adjusting drops to match), and players could give the monster a kind of "AI" that tells it what to do in certain situations. Or less drastically, give them special moves and buff the player to compensate.

I finally beat END OF THE DAYS. I could not beat this arena until this new update. All thanks to QUOTE(Tenboro @ Jun 10 2012, 01:45)  - Using Focus will now additionally trade 25% overcharge to recover 5% base mana.
It took me like 2 hours. I had to press "F" like a thousand times (i recover 25 mp for every 25% of overcharge). But in the end, i could win. Might I ask what in the world your strategy is? Cause what I'm seeing is you casting magic while Heartseeker is active with no Spirit Shield up.

To defeat the legendaries, first i use silence, then i hit them until they die, in the process (until they die xD) i use regen 2, protection, spark of life, heartseeker, spirit shield is auto cast ( in the last round, i had less than the 10% of mana, so the Innate Arcana spells was dissipated). And like i say before, i had to use focus many times to recover mana. Well, i accept all the suggestions for improve my battle technique. I think it's just kind of confusing because the top part of your battle log shows you g because the top part of your battle log shows you using Soul Harvest. If you're looking for a faster route sticking to either mage or melee would probably help out a lot.

It's nice to not get low grade wood 24/7 from my monsters, but some of the higher level monsters are already starting to seem ridiculous with their damage even on normal.
Although the Focus change has also saved me a lot of frustration/item use for sure.
Still don't know what to make of it all, heh..
