After playing for a bit I can say that not too much has changed for me.

But pretty please, do something about the item world. I don't want to use an Aether Shard every time I want to clear one.

Cure, regen, and more mana to use them. Plus higher versions of those spells.

I keep seeing people complaining about how the amount gained is so small that the monsters, even a single one of them, are likely to do more damage in that round than gained from defending or using cure after focusing.

Yet the lower levels aren't playing on the higher difficulties. So they're not taking as much damage each hit. With the changes to defend and focus, and the increase in equipment drop rates, they're more likely to survive playing until the later levels.

Lots of people have complained about how hard it is to last in the lower levels with all the changes to the game, maybe this is part meant to help them?

that cos you are already level 300+.

most of the complains are from the level 100+ and low level 200+ players...

The game has really become harder. Killing some monsters have become really difficult as they parry almost every attack. On normal level I have been killed by a hit of over 12000 points even if I protected myself with Shadow Veil, Haste and Protection. I'm a melee player and are suited with power armor.

Try Shield armor, it might help.

with shield armor you will have to deal with the monsters' anti-block. maybe high mitigation armor will be better...

Before, we could check if a monster's name exists, before actually creating the monster and if it was taken, we wouldn't try to create it and waste our slot. But now I'm stuck with a PL29 Unnamed Humanoid that I can't rename, since the one I wanted was taken and I don't want to make someone else, and I can't possibly delete because, well, wasting 5 Chaos Tokens every time you want to check if the name you want is taken or not, is pure insanity...

So if we can't go back to checking the names before creating the monsters (even though we really should), can we at least be able to change the monster's class after we find out we can't make the one we originally wanted? I'm not willing to waste another slot to create a Celestial and then waste 5 Tokens because the name I wanted was already taken again...

Or at the very least bring back the monster list, so that we'll know what has been created and what not.

OK, the HP cut for the monsters has made the game more playable. Arena on Nightmare - my normal mode - is once again doable, although I now have to keep Spirit Shield up constantly (crit me for 12000? come on!)

Later today I will see what a long IW is like. I normally run it on Heroic, but yesterday I did it on Hard and just barely made it to the end.

since so many people flee from IW runs in the final round to grind, fleeing in IW shouldnt count.

you should have removed fire-eater, frost-born, thunder-child, and wind-waker suffixes at the same time. nopony uses those anyway. they are already common as it is and now they are dropping like crazy, i got several just in the few arenas i've done this morning.
